About this Cook
I have a 4-year degree in nutrition and food science. I am the worst with recipes. There is a segment in my DNA which makes me incapable of following recipes EXACTLY as they are written. I will change something about it. Either I won't measure exactly or I will add or ommit ingredients.
My favorite things to cook
And I love to bake cookies.
My cooking triumphs
No bake cookie: a recipe for 2 servings that I adapted when I was 10 years old--I have it memorized. Club(R) Cracker cookies: one of my favorites my grandmother use to make for me--now I make them for my husband. Pumpkin cake: I of course changed someone's recipe and made it my own, and mine is lower in fat and full of flavor--YUM!
My cooking tragedies
I used a salmon chowder soup recipe I found on here--tried to make it yummier than it sounded by making it a cream-based soup with sour cream and cheddar cheese for flavoring. I used the salmon in the pouch---YUCK! My husband wouldn't touch it. And I wasn't crazy about it either. It was my conclusion that the salmon ruined what would have been a yummy cream soup.

Granola-Chocolate Cookies
I have made these a couple times (without the peanuts) and they are some of the best cookies I have ever tried. This recipe is a keeper.

Homemade Noodles
A good starter recipe- but it took 2 large eggs to 1 cup of flour to make the dough. And I don't bother to let them dry before cooking; I throw into boiling broth right away and they're great.

Monster Cookies VI
This is my go-to monster cookie recipe. Though, I never measure the goodies added and change it up depending on what I have in my cupboards. Easy & delicious!
