Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2010
I'm 54 and have been looking for the perfect meatloaf recipe my entire adult life. This was sooooooo good. I did make a couple of adjustments, based on reader reviews and personal preference. I reduced the milk to about 1/2 cup and used dry onion soup mix. I did not put the brown suger and ketchup on the bottom because I love my own topping. I mix one cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup ketchup and one lbs. worchestershire sauce and spread on top last 15 minutes of baking. Wonderful!

Crab and Swiss Melts

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2010
Wow, this is sooooooooo good! Yes, it was a little rich but I suffered through it! I did reduce the cream cheese to 4 oz. and added about 2 T. miracle whip. I used sliced swiss cheese because that's what I had but I will use the grated next time. The sliced cheese was just too thick.

Artichoke Chicken

This is so good and easy. I had really large chicken breasts so I cooked it longer until the temp was 160. I used half mayo, half sour cream and I did spinkle with Paprika. Yum

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

This is a keeper. Very good. For those of you that didn't think it was very oriental, I add 1/2 ginger. I also reduced the suger. It was tasty and my family ate every bite.

This has a really good flavor but it was still tough after marinating for 15 hours. I took the advice of others and used 1/4 cup of soy and 1/4 cup of balsamic vineager.

Sweet and Crunchy Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2013
This is soooo good. As good as if not better than what the restaurants serve. I used Rice Wine Vinegar, a zero calorie sugar, and 1/2 olive oil and 1/2 vegetable oil. I added toasted sesame seeds when I was ready to eat it.

Southern Baked Yellow Squash

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2011
This may be the best squash recipe I've ever tried. Very, very good. I liked the fact that it doesn't have cheese in it too. Definitely a keeper! I've made this a couple of times, once using ritz crackers and once using bread crumbs. Definately better witht e buttery cracker flavor.

Yum. This is so good. Juicy and moist. I cooked 1 chicken, marinated in for 4 hours. Didnt' find my cayenne pepper but it's great anyway. Made gravy from the pan drippings. My family wanted to know where I had bought it.

Vanilla Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2011
Simple and good on bread pudding. I followed the advice of others and increased corn starch to 2 T and decreased water to 1 cup. Also, I am diabetic so I used spenda instead of sugar and no one could tell the difference. (I make this substitution alot)

Taco Salad III

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2011
I have always liked this version of taco salad. I use an 8 oz. bottle of Catalina dressing. I also add chopped bell pepper because it gives even more crunchiness. This is one of those recipes that you can easily change up, depending on your preference. I also have chopped avocado for anyone who wants to add it.
