Southern Fried Cabbage

This wasn't as good as I had expected. I cut back on the red pepper and it was still pretty hot. I also added broccoli and water chestnuts. I don't think I'll make this again.

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

This was tasty. The family loved it. I used all chicken broth because I didn't have vegetable broth. I too sauteed my carrots with the onion and celery and added garlic.

Original Homemade Italian Beef

This is absolutely wonderful. Lots of flavor. I pour part of the pepperoccini juice out so that it is not so spicy hot but then I add the juice and peppers at the start.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

I'm 54 and have been looking for the perfect meatloaf recipe my entire adult life. This was sooooooo good. I did make a couple of adjustments, based on reader reviews and personal preference. I reduced the milk to about 1/2 cup and used dry onion soup mix. I did not put the brown suger and ketchup on the bottom because I love my own topping. I mix one cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup ketchup and one lbs. worchestershire sauce and spread on top last 15 minutes of baking. Wonderful!

Crab and Swiss Melts

Wow, this is sooooooooo good! Yes, it was a little rich but I suffered through it! I did reduce the cream cheese to 4 oz. and added about 2 T. miracle whip. I used sliced swiss cheese because that's what I had but I will use the grated next time. The sliced cheese was just too thick.
