My cooking triumphs
zuchini muffins- people couldn't get enough:)
My cooking tragedies
When I was about ten I made frosting for a cake from scratch, and followed an old recipe. It called for confectioner's sugar, but I thought that meant granulated sugar and used that. The frosting was awful! How was I supposed to know that confectioner's sugar was powdered sugar?!?

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles
Yum! I decided I wanted to make cookies at 2am while home from college, and this was the recipe I decided on, because we had no chocolate chips, and my school's snickerdoodles are gross =P Well anyways, I should have halved this recipe, because it makes a ton! I made 2 dozen of the cookies (one 12-sheet at a time) and decided to ball, dip, and freeze the rest because there was only 2 other people awake at the time! But these are really good, we keep cream of tartar on hand just to make snickerdoodles. I also needed more of the cinnamon-sugar to dip in. While some reviewers said bake exactly 8 minutes, that was a little underdone for the second batch, the first batch where I pulled them out when the tops had been cracked for a minute or so was the best, but I forgot to time it.

Cherry Cobbler II
recipe was okay. unlike other reviewers, i did not have the problem of butter pooling on top. i used 2 cans of no-sugar-added cherry pie filling, but other than that, i made no changes. i probably should have doubled the topping too. none of these are taken to account in my review. it just wasnt quite good enough, but still pretty good and smelled wonderful.
