Red, White and Blue Ambrosia

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2008
This isn't the type of dessert I typically eat, but it tasted alright to me and I got lots of compliments at the picnic I took it to for how great it was. I didn't have much left over. It is pretty costly to make compared to other items, though.

Egg and Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2008
Modified with: 10 eggs, 2 cups cheese (1 cheddar, 1 mozzarella), 3/4 cup milk and 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoned sausage and pre-cooked the crescent crust for 10 minutes. Great recipe and works well to refridgerate leftovers. I also sometimes put tabasco sauce, sliced tomatoes, a little lettuce and a little sour cream on top if I want to change it up a little bit.

Steakhouse Wheat Bread for the Bread Machine

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2009
Great flavor and tasted just like a certain steakhouse that could be found in Australia!! I did add a little wheat germ and vital wheat gluten to make it feel like I was being healthy and not so indulgent. Loved it and will be making it again.

My fiancee loved this recipe!! I added more blue cheese and a little more milk to thin it down and served with small steaks. It was great!! This will go in my favorites book.

Wheat Germ Whole-Wheat Buttermilk Pancakes

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2009
Light, fluffy, healthy pancakes. I added a couple heaping teaspoons of ww flour (I used it instead of pastry flour) to thicken it up a little. Very good. My fiancee and I loved them!

Apple-Cinnamon Baked French Toast

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2009
I thought this was pretty good, but my fiancee really enjoyed it. Apples had just the right amount of crunch and the whole thing had great flavor. Serves a lot (could feed a family of 8 easily).

Country Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: May 26, 2009
Great flavor!! Goes in the books as a favorite. I have made a number of egg bakes and this one is my fiance's favorite! I used regular bread and broke it into small pieces for the top and used shredded cheddar, colby and sharp cheddar cheeses.

Grilled Peanut Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2009
Pretty good flavor. It does have a strong peanut butter, but does well with the chicken. I doubled the sauce and then split it to use half to brush the chicken and the other half to use for dipping the chicken after it was prepared. The sauce during preparation starts out thick, but stir it a little and let the peanut butter sit in the liquid for a few minutes then stir some more. It will thin out and become more manageable while still following the recipe.

Chipotle Crusted Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2009
Good seasoned flavor! I would marinate with the spices longer, most likely overnight to really get the flavors into the meat more. Will repeat again.

Oatmeal Cranberry White Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2009
Good cookie that makes me feel like I am eating healthy....cranberries, oatmeal (: Taste is very good. I pressed down slightly when I put them on the cookie sheet because they are thicker cookies. I also used white chocolate chips.

Key West Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2009
I marinaded the chicken for about 2-3 hours in a baking dish so the chicken was soaking about 1/2 way down in the marinade. I then baked it in the same dish at 425 for about 25 minutes. The flavor was great and the chicken was nice and moist. Good flavoring, but not overwhelming. Good and easy recipe worth repeating!
