Chicken Spaghetti II

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2008
I made just a few adjustments to the recipe and it was DELICIOUS!! I used 1 lb of boneless skinless chicken breasts and only 6 ounces of velveeta. I also used one can of Hatch's brand diced tomatoes with green chiles GARLIC flavor (medium) in place of adding garlic powder. My friends LOVED it! I will definitely be making this recipe again!

Made as cupcakes and it turned out really "heavy" tasting.

The chocolate glaze was VERY bitter on it's own but tasted alright in small quantities on the frosting.

Supreme Strawberry Topping

Absolutely delicious! My favorite breakfast is strawberry pancakes from IHOP and I swear this tastes exactly like their pancake topping! I used frozen strawberries and it still came out fantastic--can't wait to try again with fresh ones

Delicious! I would definitely let them marinate longer next time, though. Great recipe!

Very good--mine turned out a little lumpy but it was all operator error. Definitely add a little extra milk and butter! Yum!!

Country Style Green Beans with Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2008
I used 2 ham hocks in place of the turkey tails and 2 large cans of green beans with peeled new potatoes. I let the ham hocks simmer for several hours (about 4) before adding the beans (simmered about 30 minutes). Tasted great but next time I would use less garlic and less pepper.

Chicken Milano

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2008
Hands down the most tasty dinner dish I've ever made! My boyfriend and I made this for his mom and she couldn't stop talking about. It was a huge hit. I ended up needing a good bit of extra cornstarch but other than that I didn't change a thing. DELICIOUS!

Spinach Tomato Tortellini

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2008
Fiance and I make this ALL THE TIME. We follow another user's suggestion and brown 1/2 to 1 lb sweet italian sausage in EVOO and stir in to the pasta mix to make it meaty. We use the green and white three cheese buitoni tortellinis and it's delicious!

Sugar Coated Pecans

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2008
Hands down the best discovery I ever made on allrecipes. This has become my signature dish, you know the whole "Stephanie, are you bringing YOUR pecans for Thanksgiving?" Although they know it's not MY recipe, I refused to share my recipe with my internet illiterate family so they can't replace me! LOVE LOVE LOVE these! They go great in the big deep cookie tins you can buy around Christmas time.

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2008
I used fat free half & half and corn starch because that's what I already had on hand. I also threw in some chopped bell pepper with the onions and garlic and some fresh spinach toward the end (so it would be wilted but not soggy). Pretty good! *UPDATE* this is a Bon Appetit recipe from Jan 2006

Connie's Zucchini "Crab" Cakes

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2008
I gave this recipe 3 stars for now although I have a feeling it's partly operator error. I chose to bake mine as opposed to frying to avoid the greasiness and they came out alright, but not the best. Next time I will definitely dry out the zucchini more and I think that will help tremendously.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2008
This recipe has never really been perfect to me. Something just seems wrong--i't just a little too dense and the crust a little too tough. Here is my best version to date (for my benefit): 1 can pumpkin (warmed in microwave), 4 eggs, 1/2 c veg oil, 1/2 c applesauce, 2/3 c water, 1 tsp vanilla, 2 c white sugar, 3-1/2 c flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp baking soda, 1-1/2 tsp salt, 1-1/4 tsp cinnamon, 1-1/4 tsp nutmeg, 1/2 tsp cloves, 1/4 tsp ginger. Filled 1 lb loaf pan 2/3 of the way full and topped with struesel crumb topping. Baked for 1 hr 10 min at 350. With remaining batter I added chocolate chips and filled one muffin pan. Baked ~40 min. Streusel topping (tasty kitchen) FOR THE STREUSEL TOPPING: 2 Tbsp Butter, Softened 1/4 c Brown Sugar (I used light) 1/8 c Oatmeal 1/8 cups All-purpose Flour 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon combined with fork and spread over top of bread loaf pan.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2008
Next time I will add an extra layer of noodles and not add the salt to the meat--I don't think it really needed any. I did add a small dash of nutmeg to the ricotta mix as recommended. I would also probably double the ricotta mixture next time but all in all, absolutely fantastic recipe!! Everyone loved it! UPDATE: made this again with the few changes I wanted to make and it was EXCELLENT. Restaurant quality no doubt. Froze the leftovers and heated them up this weekend and was thrilled to discover it still tastes freshly made!

Chocolate Crinkles II

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2008
These taste wonderful and literally melt in your mouth but they take a LOT of work! I found it very difficult to manage the dough when forming the cookies and had to repeatedly pop into the freezer for a few minutes to make it less sticky.
