Round Steak Sauerbraten

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2008
Great recipe. Double the recipe even if you don't think you will need that much meat. It was gone in a flash with my family. I increased the vinegar, brown sugar and ginger like many other reviewers, and baked it about 2 hours in the oven. We aren't big fans of brown gravy mix, but this doesn't taste at all like the powdered stuff.

No Bake Sugar Free Cheese Cake

Reviewed: May 6, 2008
5 star for taste, 4 because I had to follow MFGriffins changes. Double the cream cheese, mix in pudding, add milk and disolve Jello in 1 cup boiling water. I used an extra large pre-made shell. It was just the right amount of filling. I used lemon jello and lemon pudding, but I want to try other combo's. It's not real cheesecake, but for a quick no bake pie it's wonderful. I would even try it with regular ingredients if sugar free isn't needed.

Crustless Zucchini Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2008
5 star with my changes. I increased the baking mix by 1/2 cup and didn't remove water from my veggies. I used fresh basil and dill from my garden instead of parsley. The best addition was that I crumbled up some feta cheese into the mixture. I still used about a full cup of cheddar. Three of us finished two pies in a few hours. Try this with those ever plentiful large zuchinis.

If they had 10 stars I would give it 10. My daughter and I made them. She had two different potential boyfriends tell her that they were madly in love with her after she fed them these--all in the same weekend. So if you want someone to fall in love with you the first time or the 20th just feed them these cookies. PB chips are hard to find in my area so we often use reeses pieces instead.

White Chocolate Pound Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2008
Sunny's picture looked so beautiful I had to try this. I was trying to do many things at once and didn't realize that I skipped the layering/broken up chocolate step. It works wonderfully that way also if you would like a more subtle flavor.

Cranberry Apple Crisp

This is requested every Thanksgiving. I freeze cranberries in Nov. just to make this later. I also double the topping recipe and use oatmeal.

Cindy's Beef Tips

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2010
I've never gotten to review a recipe first. I made this several times when it was a personal recipe. It was a big hit with my family. I used a lot less flour the second time and we liked it better with just a light dusting of flour on the meat. Cooked it in a cast iron dutch oven for the three hours. Make more than you think you will need, it will go quickly.

Crock-Pot Split Pea Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2011
Very good. I had all the ingredients except for onion so I left it out. I think I cooked it on high for longer than the recipe said and it turned out fine. I used a 4 quart crockpot. Good simple recipe for a snowy day

Fabulous Wet Burritos

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2011
My husband said to keep this recipe and he almost never says that. It is very, very close to the wet burrito from the little joint he loves that is too far for frequent visits. Left the lettuce and tomato out and baked the burritos and sauce in a 9 by 13. We love these, but we are from the east so I know they may not be really authentic

Caramel Apple cake

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2013
Simple easy cake. I made it twice and my family gobbled it up. I didn't use the frosting --just served it with cool whip. I used cinamon chips once and white chocolate once. Cinamon was better. I added a few pb chips because I wanted to use them up and I do not suggest them. I think this would work with other combo's-- chocolate and cherry pie filling is next
