Italian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2010
THIS IS THE BEST SOUP EVER! Period. The only changes I made was to add chopped onion and I used frozen spinach instead of fresh. Absolutely superb. I cannot wait to serve this to my "Marie Barone" of an Italian mom and watch her reaction. I think she might even ask for the recipe!

Oven-Fried Pork Chops

Best pork chops I've ever tasted! I dredged them in flour before the egg wash. So moist and tender!

Six Week Bran Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2008
This was my first time making bran muffins and they turned out great! I used Fiber One cereal and ran it all through the food processor before adding the water. I also added cinnamon and raisins. So good!

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2008
I am giving this recipe five stars, even though I don't add the cheese. My whole family (mostly picky) love it! I do make a couple changes, though. I substitute ground pork for about 1/2 of the meat, and add the ketchup, honey, and worsteshire glaze before baking. It is so moist and flavorful!

Buttery Cooked Carrots

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2008
Yum! Even my husband liked these, and he isn't a big fan of cooked carrots. My 2 year old gobbled them down in a minute flat!

Not my taste - or my husbands. It was just missing something, I think.

Shrimp Lemon Pepper Linguini

Oh yeah! This one is definitely a keeper. My foodie husband AND my 2 year old loved this dinner. Hubby even went and got seconds, and he never does that!

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2008
I have never eaten rice pudding before this recipe, and honestly didn't think I would like it. I just wanted to use up the extra rice from yesterdays dinner. But, after eating this delicious treat, I am making extra rice everytime I make it just so I can have an excuse to make this! Just make sure you make it with whole milk. I made is twice. Once with whole milk and once with fat free milk. The one with whole milk was rich and creamy and just perfect. Not so much for the fat free milk one. Follow this recipe to a tee, and sprinke some cinnamon on it, and you got heaven in a bowl.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2008
I love this recipe for 2 reasons. First, it tastes awesome. Hearty and flavorful. The second reason is that it is so simple! Mix a few things in the very pot I am cooking in and I only have one thing to wash after dinner! What more could I ask for. I did however, double the broth and spices because we like more broth to dip our bread in. Other than that, this recipe was just perfect!

Sweet Carrot Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2008
Yummy! I was looking for a recipe similar to what my grandma used to make and this was very close. I think I might add a bit of orange juice or orange concentrate next time. It really doesn't need it, though. It really is quite tastey as is. Even my "food critic" of a husband liked it!
