Cranberry Sauce Chicken II

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2014
I was skeptical of this recipe with the odd combination of ingredients, but it was easy and delicious (and a great way to use the can of whole cranberries that have been sitting in my pantry since Thanksgiving)! I did not have Russian dressing so I made it using 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1/4 cup ketchup, 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar, and 2 Tbsp onion powder. After coating the chicken, I poured the rest of the sauce in the dish to cook, and this made the chicken very tender. Also, the sauce is delicious over rice. I will definitely make this again!

Breakfast Pies

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2012
I made several batches of these for a potluck brunch and they turned out great! I did use croissant dough instead of biscuit dough (so it wouldn't puff as much and make a mess like some other people who reviewed described). I used 1/2 a croissant worth of dough for each pie, and made sure I didn't use too much egg in each (I filled each muffin cup about 2/3 of the way with the sausage mixture and egg) and they did not make a mess. I am freezing some for later as well so hopefully they will freeze well!

Japanese Shrimp Sauce II

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2008
I didn't think it tasted like the shrimp sauce I've tasted in Japanese steak houses, the mayo taste was a little strong. It still tasted ok though and my boyfriend really liked it. It just wasn't what I expected.

London Broil

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2008
This was a great dinner, we didn't even have time to marinade the meat the entire time, but it was still very tender. We did use canola oil instead of vegetable oil, red wine vinegar instead of tarrgon vinegar and did not use MSG. We grilled the meat on medium heat for 8 min per side and it was cooked about medium. We did use seasoned meat tenderizer since we didn't have unseasoned, and it was a little salty but still very good. Will definitely cook this again.

BLT Iceberg Wedge

This is a wonderful way to make a quick salad when you're in a rush, and it's delicious! I've made this salad with blue cheese dressing as well and thought it was great!

Shrimp Scampi I

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2008
We did not care for this, my boyfriend, roommate, and I followed the recipe exactly. I think the problem was the bread crumbs so maybe leaving those out would have helped. We served the shrimp and pasta separately and ended up taking the pasta, adding parmesan cheese, salt and pepper and eating that.

Mom's Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2008
This meatloaf was delicious! My roommate, who is just learning to cook, and I followed the recipe with the exception of using ground turkey instead of ground beef and it turned out wonderful. We're definitely going to make this again.

Lowcountry Shrimp and Cheese Grits

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2008
This recipe was great and quick, I made a quick, easy lunch that tasted great. The only thing I couldn't find was the garlic cheese, instead I added some garlic salt and cheddar cheese to plain grits. It was delicious!
