Strawberry Banana Smoothie

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2010
Love. I added a few glugs of Vanilla soy milk and some ground flax seed. I put it all in a quart mason jar and used my immersion blender. Tasty!

Moroccan Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
Very good soup! I also added the whole can of pumpkin (what do you do with the other half anyway?) and three good shakes of cayenne. I also only had chicken stock on hand and it worked well. Add some good bread and it's perfect for a chilly Fall day. Oh, and an immersion blender is one of the best purchases I've ever made. Buy one!

Quick and Dreamy Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
Yeah, I'm 50/50 on this one too. It's unusual and I don't find it bland. The directions are a bit scattered, but a sensible cook should figure out what they mean if they've had any experience. Adding more flavors like garlic and onions would make a difference, but the tang from the dill and sour cream is something we have to get used to here in the midwest.

Hasty Chocolate Pudding

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2008
I just made this on the stove instead of the microwave. It turned out fantastic! Rich and creamy. Stove directions. Mix all dry ingredients in the pan. Turn to medium heat (not more than that). Slowly pour in milk while stirring. Stir constantly until mix begins to boil. When the first bubbles break the surface, stir one minute more. Turn off heat. Cool for 5 mins, stirring twice. I serve mine hot, but you may cover it with plastic wrap and chill for several hours and serve cold. Thank you!

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Fantastic! I substituted soy milk and they still turned out wonderfully! Now I know what's in my pancakes - no scary boxed stuff. Thank you for sharing!

Homemade Ginger Ale

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2008
This is wonderful! I don't know why anyone would have such a problem with carbonation, unless they don't know how yeast works, or don't know how to open a bottle. I am going to play with the sugar, ginger and lemon amounts in the MANY batches I plan to make. This is really tasty! And easy! Mine was also ready a little sooner too.
