Grandma's Chicken Chardon

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2008
Great tasting and very easy. The mushrooms were delicious so I would , as other's have suggested, use more mushrooms than the recipe calls for. I cut my chicken in to nice sized strips, otherwise perfect the way it is.

Awesome recipe. Made it as written, but with bulk medium sausage. Will definately make again. Only suggestion (as others mentioned), after cooking the sausage be sure to drain the grease.

Easy Microwave Chocolate Cake

Needed a quick fix... this worked great. Added choc chips and sprayed the dish that I used well with Pam. I made a chocolate ganache to drizzle over it.

Italian Wedding Soup I

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2009
Tasted like the the soup we get from our local Italian restaurant. I made my own chicken stock (with onions and celery) with some added Swanson broth. I added a can of beef broth (made a big difference). The meatballs really need to cook in the broth -it adds flavor (use lean meat as recipe calls for). I used frozen chopped spinach. Cooked acini di pepe separate. It's a keeper!!! UPDATE: I make this quite a bit and found that after making the acini di pepe, I drain it, place it in a bowl and ad several serving spoons of the broth. Once cooled you can add the pasta you need and it shouldn't soak up much broth. Any left, store and add later.

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2010
This recipe was so simple with great results! I served over rigatoni (as this dish makes a nice sauce) with salad and a warm loaf of bread.

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2011
This was great as written. I decided to add some chopped green bell pepper and a small can of tomatoes and chilis....which added a nice kick to it. I ended up using a whole envelope of chili seasoning. This will be my new chili recipe.

Easy French Dip Sandwiches

Dellicious. Try using a can of French Onion soup (without the water) in place of beef consomme.

Cola Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2010
Great flavor. Made the recipe as stated, using diet Pepsi. I did dredge the chops in seasoned flour and then browned them in a fry pan with olive oil before placing in baking pan. Hubby who doesn't particularly care for pork chops, really liked the flavor.

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2009
Excellent Cake- very simple to make. Based on the reviews, I did increase the cocoa to 1 cup; and instead of water, I used a cup of coffee. I baked it in 9x13 for 40 minutes.

Scrumptious Strawberry Shortcake

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2014
Awesome!!! I read one reviewer noted they were dry. These are a kind of dry shortcake- perfect for soaking up the strawberry juice, YUMMMM!!!! I thought the taste was spot on. I froze the butter then shredded it into the dry mix and it worked great. Also I did not use cream of tarter; and used a little less baking powder as indicated.

Italian Sausage Soup II

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2012
Loved it! I accidently put more crushed red pepper than it called for, but it came out great anyway. The diced tomatoes I used were seasoned (I think with basil, garlic and ..?). I pre cook the shells, dice up one potato and added it with the veggies and threw in a bay leaf. Will definately be making this again.

My daughter's friend LOVES caramel corn and could not believe that this was homeade. Used non stick aluminum foil on a sheet cake pan and the clean up was a breeze.

Cheese Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2010
Wow! This was great. I did not measure the butter/mayo... I simply generously buttered the bread, then spread a thin layer of mayo. The reviews said the Parmesan cheese ratio was way to much, so I just lightly sprinkled the bread with Parmesan. Then I sprinkled garlic powder and topped generously with the other two cheeses. I did not broil, just baked it at 350 for about 8-10 min. while my pasta cooked......and it was perfect.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2013
This was soooo good and soooo easy- suprisingly even my picky 14 year old enjoyed this dish. I will definately be making it again. I prepared it as indicated for the most part, except I seasoned the flour mixture a little (garlic and onion powder). I used 7 chicken breasts, so I doubled the sauce and served it over pasta.

Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2010
Exceptional! I have made these twice now and will be making them again this week. I did do the following: partially cook the bacon in the microwave; covered with foil for the first half hour, removed foil, flipped the chicken and finished baking without the foil; after squeezing the liquid from the spinach, I pressed in a paper towel; used 1/4 C mayo and 1/4 C sour cream.
