Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2008
This is a wonderful recipe. I've recommended it to several friends who have also raved about it. The only thing that I did differently was made a little extra gravy (doubling it was too much).

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2008
This will be the one I make all the time!!! I did do a few things that others recommended, like adding more vanilla, adding baking powder, chilling first and watching them closely. I actually cut the recipe in half.... but won't do that anymore...they were gone in a flash! 2/22/12- still my go to receipe... everyone loves these cookies. I make a double batch and freeze half. Works out great.

Grandma's Chicken Chardon

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2008
Great tasting and very easy. The mushrooms were delicious so I would , as other's have suggested, use more mushrooms than the recipe calls for. I cut my chicken in to nice sized strips, otherwise perfect the way it is.

The family liked this recipe. You can't be rushed making this one... so make it on a day you can take the time to make it.

Grilled Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
When I was a kid, my friend's mother used to make these all the time. My daughter loves them. Two things: 1) If the heat is low enough and you have a non stick pan, there is no need to butter the bread, it will toast nicely; 2) This also works well with store bought "Crustables" (no need to butter these either).

Swiss Chicken Casserole II

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
Another variation of this: *instead of Swiss, use Meunster cheese *instead of milk, use 1 mayonaise *instead of stuffing, use bread crumbs (just to cover) Really no need for butter. This makes a nice creamy sauce to put over noodles.

Cookie Balls

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2009
Great treat. My daughters love to crush the cookies and form the balls. The finer they are crushed the better. Definitely chill the balls before dipping and chill them before eating. They don't last long, so make extra. I have even put a drop or two of peppermint extract into some of the dipping chocolate. Update: These are also great with white sandwich cookies and white chocolate.

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2009
Excellent Cake- very simple to make. Based on the reviews, I did increase the cocoa to 1 cup; and instead of water, I used a cup of coffee. I baked it in 9x13 for 40 minutes.

Italian Wedding Soup I

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2009
Tasted like the the soup we get from our local Italian restaurant. I made my own chicken stock (with onions and celery) with some added Swanson broth. I added a can of beef broth (made a big difference). The meatballs really need to cook in the broth -it adds flavor (use lean meat as recipe calls for). I used frozen chopped spinach. Cooked acini di pepe separate. It's a keeper!!! UPDATE: I make this quite a bit and found that after making the acini di pepe, I drain it, place it in a bowl and ad several serving spoons of the broth. Once cooled you can add the pasta you need and it shouldn't soak up much broth. Any left, store and add later.

This recipe was so simple with great results! I served over rigatoni (as this dish makes a nice sauce) with salad and a warm loaf of bread.

Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2010
Exceptional! I have made these twice now and will be making them again this week. I did do the following: partially cook the bacon in the microwave; covered with foil for the first half hour, removed foil, flipped the chicken and finished baking without the foil; after squeezing the liquid from the spinach, I pressed in a paper towel; used 1/4 C mayo and 1/4 C sour cream.

Needed a quick fix... this worked great. Added choc chips and sprayed the dish that I used well with Pam. I made a chocolate ganache to drizzle over it.

Cheese Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2010
Wow! This was great. I did not measure the butter/mayo... I simply generously buttered the bread, then spread a thin layer of mayo. The reviews said the Parmesan cheese ratio was way to much, so I just lightly sprinkled the bread with Parmesan. Then I sprinkled garlic powder and topped generously with the other two cheeses. I did not broil, just baked it at 350 for about 8-10 min. while my pasta cooked......and it was perfect.

Cola Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2010
Great flavor. Made the recipe as stated, using diet Pepsi. I did dredge the chops in seasoned flour and then browned them in a fry pan with olive oil before placing in baking pan. Hubby who doesn't particularly care for pork chops, really liked the flavor.
