Chicken and Sun-Dried Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2012
Just made this for a staff Christmas party and served it on warmed ciabatta bread. I added basil like other reviewers mentioned and that is a MUST, it pops all the other flavors. I also added 1/4 cp olive oil to blend it all together. This was a huge hit and the leftovers keep well and are awesome!

Buffalo Wontons

I just made this for a family get together and it was a hit! I used 1/2 the butter, no vinegar and baked them for 15 minutes at 400. We dipped them in bleu cheese dressing. It made a lot, so the extra dip I baked and served with tortilla chips and it was awesome as well.

Sesame Pasta Chicken Salad

Reviewed: May 17, 2010
I made this last night for the first time and it was wonderful! The cilantro makes the dish! I doubled the sauce and only used 1/3 cp olive oil and served it warm. I also added shredded carrots and peas and topped it off with peanuts. A glass of good chardonnay and it's the best!!

Asian Pasta Salad with Beef, Broccoli and Bean Sprouts

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2009
The dressing is awesome!!!! I didn't have rice wine vinegar and used regular and it was still great. I loved the crunch. I used wheat penne noodles, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, red pepper and bean sprouts. Just throw in what you have in your fridge. I would love cubed, chunked chicken in it for a meal.

Ham and Cheese Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
I just made this for a family gathering and it was a hit. I used Jimmy Dean sausage instead of ham, used 8 eggs and only 3 cps. milk and used a parmesan italian french bread loaf cut up as the bread and it was awesome. The cornflake topping is the best, just less butter in it!!

Rhubarb Slush

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
When your 10 year old thinks this is great, you've done something right. The only thing I did different was to decrease sugar per other reviews. I doubled the batch and did not add the liquor so my kids could have some too. I will just pour vodka on the individual glasses. I don't understand how you drain rhubarb after cooking it, and why would you just want the pulp? Next time I will use the 3 cps. of water over rhubarb and not add the extra water at the end.

Chicken Florentine Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
Seriously good stuff! Even my 10 year old said, "this is one of those recipes that you can make for company Mom!" I sauteed the garlic and butter and added 1/2 cp. of onion. I used frozen spinach, thawed and drained. I used leftover smoked turkey, but I can't wait to try it with chicken like the recipe states. I did the sauce 1 1/2 times and put it in a 8X11 pan. I served it over angel hair pasta. This is now a recipe for special occassions and not hard at all!!

Holy cow, this is outstanding. I made it for every camping trip this summer and it was ALWAYS gone! Along side some beer margaritas from this site, and that's all you need for an afternoon of fun and relaxation!

Slow Cooker Taco Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
This is such a nice change. My kids loved it and they don't do soup. I put black beans in instead and used crushed tomatoes instead of chunks. I used two packages of taco seasoning. Served with a cheddar cheese bread and tortilla chips. It's a keeper!!

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2008
I love this site because of the reviews. I only choose things that have five stars and rated by lots of people. I made this and became the instant "queen of my castle" at home. I started bringing them to school for the teachers and am now named the "scone fairy." I add frozen red raspberries and white chocolate chips. It doesn't get better than this and so easy. I always have to use my hands in the last step to make everything come together.

Peanutty Pork Kabobs

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2008
Seriously, these are out of this world. The first time I made them it was because I had to use up some pork (my husband doesn't like pork) and I new if it had a marinate on it, he would like it better. Even my children who are not meat eaters request this now as their favorite meal. My camping friends ask me to bring this every time to share. I pair it with the strawberry spinach salad 1 and it is unbelievable. I put green peppers on my kabobs and leave it off for the kids and hubby. I marinate all day in the fridge. You gotta try it!!
