Chicken Divan
I love this recipe but for a couple of changes. First of all I halved the recipe. I used steamable broccoli and instead of shredding the cooked chicken I quartered 2 chicken breasts. I used 1/2 cup of mayo, 1/2 cup sour cream, 1 can cream of chicken soup(do not add water)1 tsp lemon juice and curry powder to taste about 1T. We love the curry flavor. Mixed these together and layered the broccoli on the bottom of a sprayed 8" baking dish, then added the quartered cooked chicken breasts and poured the cream mixture on top and finally added shredded cheddar cheese to the top. Baked 350 degrees for about 45 minutes. This is so good. I can't imagine this recipe without sour cream in the mixture.

Dog Treats I
I made a few changes to this recipe and every dog I have given them too, loves them. I have to say, this dough is very easy to work with. Instead of margarine, I used coconut oil. I substituted cornmeal(which isn't good for dogs)with cream of wheat cereal. I used local raw honey instead of sugar, and 3/4 peanut butter in place of beef bouillon(too much salt). I omitted cheese and replaced with 1/2 c. applesauce(unsweetened). Used 2 beaten eggs and finally replaced 1 cup of wheat flour with 1 cup of coconut flour. I added some parsley flakes and a little cinnamon. Another note, since the cookies don't expand when baking, I placed them almost touching to get more on the cookie sheet. I used a small bone shaped cookie cutter 2" long and it made over 160 cookies. Next time I will cut the recipe in half. Baked 40 minutes. I also store the cookies in an airtight container in the refrigerator. This recipe is a winner for us.

Peanut Butter and Banana Dog Biscuits
I have made this recipe numerous times. This is my Chihuahua's favorite cookie by far. With my 2" bone shaped cookie cutter I get 70 cookies when rolled out to 1/4 in thick. I have also used whole oats in place of the wheat germ. Every dog I have given this cookie to they have asked for more. I also use local raw honey. If the dough is a little sticky when rolling out, just add a little more wheat flour until the stickiness is gone. To preserve the freshness, I refridgerate in an air tight container. This is a very healthy treat and 100% USA made.
