Cream Cheese Pound Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2010
I liked it well enough, but I did add vanilla. I had enough batter for a second loaf, so I tried adding just 1/4 cup of buttermilk. This and vanilla really boosted the flavor.

Meatball Sandwich

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2010
All in all, a pretty good recipe. Might have been so much better if I didnt burn the baguettes, everything had a burnt aftertaste to it that wasn't appealing. My bad.

Creamy Cheesy Scrambled Eggs with Basil

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2010
It tastes wonderful. To add flavor, i mixed in minced garlic. I tried diced fresh tomato but i wouldn't recommend it, the fluid made everything sort of runny, even when it was all cooked.

Alyson's Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2009
I got HUGE compliments on this dish. I originally got this recipe from a local grocery store and loved the samples. I put in only 3 strips of bacon (turkey bacon worked just fine for those who don't eat pork). I used toasted sunflower seeds with salt. And for fun i added chopped almonds. I found out that it is important to at least let the whole thing sit for half an hour minimum so that the vinegar isn't overwhelming. Loved it!!

Egg Blossoms

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2009
This was wonderful! Eggs are the cheapest meal on a tight budget and these make dinner parties still look elegant. I cooked chorizo sausage (found at any supermarket) and put it in the blossom before the egg. This was wonderful! A layer of green peppers might also add a mexican zest to this recipe.

Best Ever Banana Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2009
I have never been a fan of buttermilk, but this recipe was wonderful. You really dont taste it, but it definately makes a change in the texture of the bread. Changes: I ran out of sugar, so was 1/4c. less. And it finished baking in 45 minutes.

Chicken Makhani (Indian Butter Chicken)

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2009
I followed the suggestion of others and made the ginger/garlic paste x3 the amount in the recipe. Also, I added 1 teaspoon of Coriander. This made it taste just like the restaurant! The recipe made small servings for a family, so i doubled everything in the recipe.

I added taco seasoning. You have to eat it with a fork, but its really good. I also added a layer of spanish rice and salsa.

Chicken Meatball Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2008
Cooked this for my boyfriend when he was sick. Wonderful recipe! I left out the parsnips, and added egg noodles to bulk up the soup. Tastes good with 1/4th the sauteed onions mixed into the meatballs before cooking.
