South Texas Style Tartar Sauce

Taste just like the tartar sauce from Catfish Charlies in Corpus Christi. It's best if made ahead to let the flavors blend. Much better the next day. I don't change a thing.

Bodacious Broccoli Salad

This is a 5 star recipe for sure. I didn't add the lemon juice as the dressing taste fantastic without it. I think the lemon juice would likely make it too bitter. I used half broccoli and half cauliflower. I cubed the cheese instead of using shredded cheese. It was great the first day, but 10 times better the following day. Great potluck dish!

Sopapilla Cheesecake Dessert

Chewy Coconut Cookies

A declious cookie! I didn't change a thing. I rolled them into balls instead of spoonfuls to make a more uniformed cookie. They make the kitchen smell devine while cooking!

Easy Lemon Cookies

Fantastic! This recipe is super easy and you don't need to change a thing. Be sure to cool on a rack to prevent further browning on the bottom of the cookies. Best of all, they taste as great as they look!

Beef Tips and Noodles

Great recipe! I browned the meat first, but otherwise followed the recipe exactly except for using fresh mushrooms instead of canned. It was amazing. Even my picky eaters loved it. I must say that it was twice as good the following day. Certainly a keeper.

Banana Banana Bread

Great recipe. I think the outside cooked a little too fast. Next time I will try lowering the cooking temp so that the edges don't seem overcooked. I also added some nuts. It's a fantastic recipe!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Can I give it 10 stars? These were the best chocolate chip cookies ever! I followed the recipe as written. I refrigerated the dough overnight as some suggested. They turned out fantastic, picture perfect. In the future will will certainly lessen the amount of chocolate chips (there were way to many chocolate chips for my liking) and add some nuts. This will be the only chocolate chip cookie I make in the future. I loved it!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

The best recipe EVER! I've never sucessfully made rolled sugar cookies until this year. My kids and I had so much fun. It was terrific. The overall taste of the cookie was just a 3-4 star, but the ease of the recipe and the turn out of the cookie cutouts make this a 5 star all the way!

Great recipe for sure. Super easy to make. Make sure that your baking soda and cream of tartar are fresh. Old baking soda will equal flat cookies.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

The muffins were fantastic. A great base muffin mix to add other things besides blueberries. I did use buttermilk instead of milk. I added a bit more buttermilk than the recipe calls for as the matter just seemed too stiff. I think the mix is perfect without adding vanilla. I did not care for the topping, which was not at all crumbly. The topping had a good taste, just didn't seem to fit with the muffin. All in all, I think it's a great muffin recipe.

Peach Cobbler Dump Cake I

This was a great, super easy recipe. I used white cake mix as I didn't have yellow on hand. It turned our wonderfully. I also used fresh peaches instead of canned (8 peaches). I sliced them and cooked them with about 1/4 c. of sugar and some cinnamon. The fresh peaches and sugar made a great syrup. It was just enough to keep the cake from being too dry or too wet.

Sandy's Casserole

This is a great comfort food and was very well liked in our home, even my picky husband ate it. I did forget the onions, probably a good thing since nobody in my family likes onions except myself. I added fresh chopped broccoli and some extra cheese. I also topped the dish with cheese just before removing from the oven. Like others, I cooked the noodles for about 5 minutes before mixing everything together. I covered with foil while baking. It turned out great. This casserole will become a staple in our home.

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

This cheesecake is fantastic!!! I will be making this again very soon. I did have to use 1/2 cup more cookie crumbs than the recipe called for; 1 cup is simply not enough to cover the bottom of the pan.
