Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

I made these last night and at the request of my 5 y/o, left out the nuts and chocolate chips, " 'cuz nuts are yucky and you're apposed to eat chocolate chips, Mommy!" Anyway, these are the best chocolate cookies we've ever eaten! And this is saying a lot as I am addicted to the choc. cookies from Whole Foods!

Applesauce Drop Doughnuts

Very good! I made these with home made apple butter and then used apple butter to dip them. OH. SO. GOOD! Big hit at my house of 7!

Easy Guacamole

This is my basic recipe. I do not use garlic as it takes from the avacado. I do, however use jalapenos to taste, chopped fine. OR, you can use just a little jalapeno juice if you are serving younger children. Leave out the garlic and you'll have a great recipe.

The Humble Shepherd

This is THE best Shepherd's pie! My family loved it, which is saying a lot when you have 5 kids! Anyway, I did add a few extra spices, just whatever I had on hand as well as frozen mixed veggies. You can't rate a recipe less than what it is if you are the one who chooses to make changes!!!

Amazingly Easy Irish Soda Bread

So good and sooooo easy! I will be making this again, however, I must say that I cut the flour by 1/2 cup as other reviewers said it had too much flour. But I still gave it 5 stars as it's delish!

Authentic Thousand Island Dressing

Excellent! I didn't have red peppers, but I didn't miss them, either. My kids were kinda' confused as to why it wasn't that odd salmon color they are used to, but once they tried it, they were very happy with the taste. But then, they wanted to know exactly WHAT was in the store bought stuff to make it that odd color...

Waffles I

OMG!! You do NOT need any oil at all. Want to know how I know? I'm a ditz with 5 young children and they are all out of school today chanting "Waffles! Waffles!" so I am fixing waffles and I accidentally omitted the oil. I didn't realize it until I wondered why my oil was out on the counter an hour later. They turned out wonderful! Omit the oil, save the calories, and save your money. Have you priced oil lately?!

All Day Apple Butter

I have been using this recipe for years and it's always a hit. I wanted to mention that I sometimes will leave the peeling on and then run it through a sieve. It gives more vitamins and more texture. just make sure to use organic apples!;)

Clone of a Cinnabon

Like this needs another review, but, if there is anyone reading this with a 3 yr old like mine, this needs to be said: Not only are these as good or maybe better than Cinnabon, MY 3yo ATE THEM! Not one, but 4!! He is the pickiest of all 5 kiddos, and he ate these!! They were sooo good! I did slice them into 24 instead of 12, though. We aren't "mall people" so my kids have never even heard of Cinnabon. But my hubby and I recalled the days BC when we enjoyed the mall. You know, Jean's West, Orange Julius, stop to peg my jeans, buy socks to match my shirt to go with my sparkling white Keds, go to the bathroom to get my hair bigger, then finish it all off with a big, fat, Cinnabon! Good times, good times. Thanks for the memories!
