About this Cook
i'm 23 years old and slowly becoming domesticated! i'm loving the skills that i'm gathering in the kitchen and look forward to learning more. i have a baby boy who i want to raise to be aware of healthy eating habits.
My favorite things to cook
i love pasta and chicken and am looking for new ways to prepare them. i also am falling in love with baking and making desserts. for my son, i look forward to making fun meals for him that are healthy and that when he's older, he'll be able to help prepare as well
My favorite family cooking traditions
when i was growing up my father used to make pizza from scratch every friday night.
My cooking triumphs
the fact that i'm in the kitchen learning to cook is my greatest triumph right now! but i have to say that the greatest compliment i recieved was from my hubby saying he no longer has a desire to go out to eat since he knows i'll have a good meal waiting for him at home!
My cooking tragedies
this could probably be a long list lol.

Lemon Ice
well i came across this today and thought i'd give it a try. sadly i didn't have any lemon juice and thought i'd try with apple..... just to see what would happen.. i think it has potential to be good. like frozen apple sauce. but the amount of sugar was WAY too much to be used with a juice that's already very naturally sweet, i added cinnamon which helped but i'm sure it would be amazing with lemon juice though. i'll try it the way it's supposed to be made. i'd also like to try a variation of this using orange juice
