Chicken and Dumplings III

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2011
I made some changes, like others did...I sauted one diced onion in some olive oil, added four sliced carrots and three stalks of celery. I used three sliced chicken breasts, boiled all in chicken broth (1 box), added one can of cream of celery and two cans of cream of chicken soup, one can of water and a clove of garlic. Pinched off pieces of bisquets and let cook for about twenty minutes and peppered to taste. Delicious!!! Will definitely make again!

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2011
Very good, easy and delicious! I would definitely decrease the amount of water by at least half. I didn't change the topping amount and it was fine.

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2011
My husband loved, loved, loved this! He can't wait for football season to make it for the guys! Really good flavor, meat fell apart, so tender and juicy. I did use two packets of dressing mix for a 5lb roast and did not use the beef broth. Was a little salty, but very delish!

Special Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
This frosting is by far, the best!! I read the reviews about making with butter vs. shortening, and I made mine with butter flavored shortening! I did not have any heavy cream so used half and half instead. I also cut the recipe in half and half again since I only had 24 cupcakes to frost, and it was the perfect amount. I used one box of powdered sugar (16 oz) and did have to use a little more cream. Perfect consistency and also had a nice sheen to it. Not too sweet either. Will definitely be my go-to frosting from now on!

This is so easy to make and delicious! My husband says it's the best ever and my daughter even ate the veggies! I've used the gravy part for chicken fried steak as well.

I loved this recipe! I made two loaves and had to take them to work, otherwise I would have eaten them both! I used 1/2 oil, 1/2 applesaucse and 1/2 whole wheat flour, 1/2 white flour. Very moist bread. Will definitely make again!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2010
Absolutely delicious cake! Made it for my chocoholic husband's birthday. I made it as a two-layer cake and frosted it with whipped ganache frosting. I used 1/2 applesauce and 1/2 oil, also fat-free/sugar free pudding and low-fat sour cream. It was so moist and so chocolately and so incredibly easy. Will definitely make this again!!

My Amish Friend's Caramel Corn

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2010
This is sooo good and so very easy to make. I mixed it in a paper bag as others suggested and it was not difficult at all to deal with all that popcorn! I will definitely make again, probably for holiday gifts.

Cinnamon Snack Mix

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2010
I made this to include in a care package for my niece in college. Loved the combination of items, I used honey nut cheerios and craisins as others suggested. It was kind of sticky, I don't know if maybe I needed to bake it longer, but it was still very good.

I made this marinade, but used it with tilapia. It turned out good, very flavorful. I did leave out the oil and still very good.

Brigadeiro

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2008
I made this for "International Day" at my daughters grade school. I used Nesquick and then rolled one batch in sprinkles, one batch in nesquick and one batch in chocolate/french vanilla hot cocoa mix. My least favorite was the ones rolled in sprinkles. Overall, very easy, did not take too long to roll up as my 6yr old rolled in toppings after I rolled from pan. Will definitely make again. Was afraid to use low or non-fat milk or margarine though as didn't know if they'd turn out as well. Has anyone else tried that?
