Sesame Parmesan Zucchini

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2010
I can't even tell you how much we love this recipe; I think it is my favorite on this site! We usually make waaaay more than the recipe calls for, tripling the oil/season mixture and using about 6 zuchs. I use my slicer to slice the zuch into thin round slices and we spread it out thin on a round pizza sheet. After it bakes for 20 mins I put on the broiler and brown it up. The thin slices get crispy and delicious! We never get tired of eating this dish. I think I could eat it every day! I would rate this at 10 stars if that were possible.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: May 27, 2009
At last! Finally a brownie recipe that makes me want to eat the whole pan. (Wait, that is a bad thing!) I have made this recipe twice and both times delicious. The second time I omitted one of the eggs and this made them even more chewy. Great brownies!!

Chewy Brownies

Reviewed: May 23, 2009
I was very disappointed in these brownies. I was pretty excited to try this recipe as I have had a hard time finding one that gives me the texture I am looking for in a brownie. These had a good texture in the middle, but the edges cooked up rock hard for me. The real disappointment was the flavor. I used some of the suggestions from other users; I increased the cocoa to a little over 1/2 cup. I still thought these had very little flavor. Won't try this one again.

Tuna Noodle Casserole from Scratch

I LOVE this recipe! I use a lot more cheese than the recipe calls for, but otherwise make it just as written. It is delicious, and something I crave every few weeks now.

Maple Salmon

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2008
I thought this was a so-so recipe. My BF liked it better than I did, but we both thought it was much too sweet. Kind of sticky, too. I would try making this again, but I would cut the maple in half. I used VT Medium Amber syrup.

Chicken Tortilla Soup II

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2008
I thought this was very good, but did add some things to the recipe. I added 1 cup of corn and 1 can (drained) of black beans. I omitted the tortillas from the prep/cooking, and instead served the soup with crumbled tortilla chips, grated cheddar cheese, and a dollop of sour cream on top. I sauteed the onions, garlic and cilantro with some oil, and then combined all ingredients in a slow cooker, and cooked on AUTO setting for about 4 hours. Tasty soup, but not outstanding.

Maple Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2008
I thought these cookies were very tasty, but not very "maple." They have a soft, chewy texture and a very good flavor. Not too sweet, but very rich. I found one cookie satisfied my nightly sweets craving, which was nice. I used Grade A Medium Amber syrup, so that might explain the lack of strong maple flavor. I will make these again, but I might try adding some maple extract as others have suggested.

Corn Cheese Chowder

I thought this was tasty, but not great. It was a little bland. I think it could use a little more zip.

Zippy Ground Beef Skillet

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2008
I LOVE this recipe. It is always an easy and tasty meal to make when I haven't been to the grocery store in a while. I have made a couple of minor changes, mainly to make it even easier. I omit the green pepper (don't care for them), and the jalapeno pepper. I substitute two 10 oz cans of RoTel Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies, which lends plenty of heat without the bother of cutting up jalapeno peppers. In total I use three cans of tomatoes, the two RoTel cans and one can of regular diced tomatoes. We love the combo of the heat with the honey. I think this tastes even better then second day.
