Savory Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2012
Meh. The flavor was ok, but the pork chops were tough and the onions weren't as fully cooked as I would prefer. I won't make this again.

Incredibly Cheesy Turkey Meatloaf

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2012
I have made this recipe a million times and it always comes out great! The cheese is definitely better shredded, and sometimes we wrap the meatloaf in bacon before baking. Recently, for a change, I started using beef instead of turkey, bbq sauce instead of ketchup, and topping the meatloaf with french's fried onions. Both ways are great!

White Cheese Chicken Lasagna

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2010
Personally, I found this recipe way too heavy and salty. I would have prefered to skip the cheese sauce altogether and just used fresh seasoned ricotta and some shredded mozzarella. The family, however, liked it a lot...so they will be eating the leftovers.

Slow Cooker Chicken with Mushroom Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2009
This came great but I changed a few things. I used 3/4 cup white wine, fresh onions, fresh mushrooms, fresh garlic, 1/4 cup milk, and added some cayenne pepper and about a 1/2 cup of sour cream right at the end. I left out the salt because the cream of mushroom soup has so much salt in it. It came out delicious!

Butter Cookies II

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2009
This recipe is delicious but I would NOT RECOMMEND chilling the dough if you are using a cookie press. It needs to be room temperature otherwise it won't go through the press.

Cola Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2009
Easy and delicious! Make sure to put LOTS of freshly ground black pepper on top before you bake. I used coarse kosher salt as well.

Tastes-Like-Beef Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2009
These burgers were delicious! I added an egg, as per one of the reviews, and they were juicy and tasty. The onion soup gives them great flavor. This will definitely be my go-to turkey burger recipe.

Banana Nut Bread I

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2009
This is the greatest banana bread recipe ever! I love that it makes two loaves- we eat one right away and the other I put in the freezer for another time. It tastes just as wonderful after being frozen and defrosted.

Tartar Sauce III

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2009
I didn't have any sweet pickle relish so I finely chopped some dill pickle as a substitute. My brother-in-law from Maryland loved this with his crab cakes. I value his opinion since "crab cakes and football- that's what Maryland does!" :)

Two Ingredient Pumpkin Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2009
I made this recipe for Thanksgiving and it was a huge hit! I used Duncan Hines Moist Deluxe spice cake mix, the can of pumpkin, added 2 eggs and 1/3 cup of water and baked in a bundt pan. I frosted it with store-bought cream cheese frosting and topped it with sliced almonds. It was so moist and delicious that there wasn't any left by the end of the evening. I will definitely make it every year!

Ricotta Pie (Old Italian Recipe)

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2009
My Sicilian grandmother makes this, minus the chocolate. She calls it "Pizza Dolce", which means sweet pizza/pie.

Octoberfest German Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2008
This recipe was great! I added a few things: 6 strips of chopped bacon, one tablespoon of dijon mustard, and I substituted red onion for the regular white. I will definitely make it again!
