Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2011
Delicious. Won rave reviews from my fiance. I used 3 huge apples that we had from a nearby orchard, added nutmeg and cinnamon to the sugar mix, threw some chopped walnuts in with the apples, and poured most of the sauce over the apples before putting the top crust on. I made a normal crust, but cut openings in it and poured the remaining sauce over the crust. The sauce makes a delicious crusty caramel on the top of the pie, and it was nice and moist without being runny. Definitely a keeper!

Cornbread Muffins I

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2011
This was excellent! I made it for dinner, to go with our chili, and it was a hit. I used fresh frozen corn, and did not change a thing. I doubled the recipe and made 12 normal sized muffins and two mini-muffin pans. Yummy!

Pesto Cheesy Chicken Rolls

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2010
This is very tasty. My husband said he would like more cheese next time around, but I thought it was perfect as is! I used the Easy Pesto recipe from on here too (added Romano cheese to it). Very easy and delicious dinner.

Easy Pesto

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2010
Yummy!!!! This is so very good. I took the other reviewers advice and just toasted the almonds in a dry skillet. I made three batches of this because of my CSA basil bounty...and with the last batch I used walnut oil instead of olive oil. So very good that way too. I did add some grated Romano cheese to it too.

Homemade Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2010
This is awesome! I ran out of olive oil, so I used walnut oil instead, and it still tasted fantastic! I don't think I would call it 4 servings if you are a fan of tons of pasta sauce on your pasta, but it is sooo worth making it rather than buying it in a jar.

Banana Banana Bread

I've made this twice now and got great feedback from family and guests both time. I add cinnamon, nutmeg and walnuts to mine. I love to toast slices of it and serve with peanut butter and cinnamon/sugar. Sooooo good.
