Burnt Brown Sugar Cake Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2010
I used the proportions of another recipe and this came out pretty good. 1/2 cup butter, 1 cup brown sugar and 1/3 cup hot water. It was not as runny and thickened up a little more as it cooled.

Teriyaki Beef Kabobs

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2013
Just tried this using beef and chicken. It was good, better on the beef than the chicken. Maybe marinate the chicken a little longer? I will make again and I think I will make a little extra marinade to baste the meat with while cooking.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2011
Just made these into muffins. Baked them for approx. 20 minutes and they came out perfect. I used egg whites this time as I have to be on a low iodine diet for two weeks and cannot have egg yolks among many other things. These might keep me sane during that time. Cant wait to make again using whole eggs.

Pumpkin Honey Butter

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2011
This was very very good! I got a little nervous when mixing it because it looked curdled, but I kept mixing for some time and it finally came together and became smooth and yummy. I used unsalted butter because I had a stick I needed to use up. So I added a pinch of coarse sea salt at the end and it was perfect! Has this on french toast. Amazing

Creamy Taco Roll-Ups

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2013
I've made these for years and they are always a crowd pleaser. I omit the salsa, hot sauce & green onions at the request of my hubby. I then add finely shredded cheddar cheese. Very good

Key Lime Pie VII

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
Super easy & tastes great. I followed the advise of a previous poster & used a garlic press to juice the limes. My pie formed the little bubbles on top but did not actually "burst" but I baked for 10 minutes and it was perfect.

I did not have margarine, so I used butter. Turned out wonderful and it could not get any easier than this.

Easy Alfredo Sauce II

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2009
I too took the basic ingredients & went from there. In addition to the basic ingredients, I used approx. 1/3rd of a packet of dry Ranch dressing/dip mix. Tossed it with sauteed shrimp and it was AMAZING. Be sure to use good cheese, it will make or break this recipe

Mock Angel Food Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2014
I'm shocked to have found this recipe. This is the identical cake recipe my grandma used for peanut cake or also known as "Blarney Stones" ..cut into squares, frost all sides with a thin white frosting and roll in crushed peanuts. Try this cake!

I really liked this recipe. Soft on the outside and chewy on the inside. Just the way I like them. I sent some to work with my husband and he was sent home with a note from a co-worker "Absolutely Delicious"

Extreme Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2010
This was good, but not the "extreme" cake I was hoping for. The cake itself, without frosting was pretty average to me. I used whipped ganache for the layers and regular ganache for the top. The frosting deifinetely makes the cake. But on its own, not so much.
