About this Cook
I am 25 years old, and I am currently in the military. Married going on 2 years, my husband and I have a beautiful 10 month old son. Pittsburgh, PA is were I am from, but I have also lived in Houston, TX, Wichita, KS, Woodbridge, VA, Fort Myers, FL, and am currently living in Albuquerque, NM. I love cooking/ baking for my boys! I also enjoy working out, playing sports, scrapbooking, going to the beach, golfing, and having friends over for cook-outs.
My favorite things to cook
Recently, I have been making a lot of cookie bouquets, at the request of friends. I really enjoy it, all though I tend to get very caught up in my work and usually make a huge mess in the kitchen. Baking is probably my favorite, but besides that, I am always looking for good, tasty, healthy meals. I try not to buy processed food, and make as much as I can from scratch. Since I have been a member of all recipes I have found lots of good recipes, and have been inspired by different cooks. I hope I can inspire others as they have inspired me.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I really miss my dad's cooking on Christmas Eve. He did it every year. Dad would go all out, making filet minion in his secret marinade, french onion soup from scratch, and buttery mashed potatoes. Sadly, he pasted away October of 2007.
My cooking triumphs
My first triumph came back when I was 19 years old, and made my first golden brown, fluffy pancake. This took weeks of practice. I had my mom's wonderful recipe, but I couldn't get the pan the right temperature. My most recent triumph was completing my first cookie bouquet, for Valentine's Day.
My cooking tragedies
I accidently put too much onion in my pasta salad, when I was pregnant. It tasted horrible, and I discarded the entire bowl. I haven't been able to eat onions ever since.

I love this recipe! I make it quite often. The only thing I did differently was not add water.
