Herbed Corn

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2012
This was quite good, and sooooo easy. Cut it back to 4 cups of corn and scaled back seasoning to 1/3 as well. Used fresh herbs except for dried dill, and the flavor was great. Only used 2 tbls of butter, and it was plenty. Thanks for this one. I'll use it often!!

Simple Baked Beans

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2011
Don't get it. These are sub mediocre. Two stars is generous. I cooked the bacon first, cooked onions in bacon fat, and followed recipe from there. BORING! Keep looking.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2011
This is good but better w mods. Used 4 cups chicken broth, no water. Added shredded carrots, can of black beans, diced green and yellow peppers. Topped each bowl with bit of sour cream, shredded cheese (american/cheddar blend works best), fresh cilantro, and dash of tabasco. Good and healthy.

Chicken and Biscuit Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2011
Ok. I don't get it. I was expecting this to be good. I even added poultry seasoning and some cayenne, corn fresh from the cob, fresh green beans, and it was BLAND and boring. Not sure what can be done to make this flavorful. My kids were unimpressed, and so was I.

Grandma's Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2011
This is pretty good. Needs some tweaking for sure as others have said. I sub turkey sausage for the bacon, chicken broth for the water, use fat free 1/2 and 1/2, leave the skin on the red potatos, and I add red pepper, green pepper, shredded carrot. I garnish w cilantro. Super easy and a good, healthy meal.

Broccoli Chicken Roli

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2010
I thought this was good for the little effort. I used ham instead of chicken and cooked for 15 minutes at 350. Plenty done at that time and temp. Four year old loved it. Husband wasn't as big of a fan, but it's a decent, veggie packed, quick and easy dinner for a weeknight.

Suki's Spinach and Feta Pasta

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2010
Quite Good. Added extra spinach and tomatoes, grilled chicken, and a bit of mozz cheese. Also added zucchini spears which I think make a big difference. Seasoned with Cavendar's. Easy. Easy.

Juiciest Hamburgers Ever

Reviewed: May 10, 2010
These are very moist. I'd say moist rather than juicy. I think there is a difference. The texture is good, but they need to be seasoned up. The taste is pretty bland. I found if you refrigerate the mixture before pattying, they hold together fine.

Meat-Lover's Slow Cooker Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2010
This is good but not great. I added shredded carrots, doubled the sausage, and 2 tsp brown sugar at the end instead of white. Also cooked on high 4 hours. Likely better on low for 8. Will make again.

Cola Burgers

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2010
I don't get all of the rave reviews. These burgers are mediocre. Not enough flavor. If you use this recipe, season them up. Otherwise, they're bland, boring burgers.

Angel Hair with Feta and Sun-Dried Tomatoes

This was really good. I followed recipe but added black olives, leftover grilled chicken, fresh spinach, leftover roasted asparagus, and half a lemon of lemon juice. Really good and super easy.

Bacon-Roasted Chicken with Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2010
This was pretty good. The bacon really needs to be ON TOP of chicken or it will be soggy. Used breasts and legs and both were fine. Added carrots. Also added asparagus seasoned with olive oil and seasoning salt on top the last 10 minutes or so. Total cooking time 45 minutes for me.

This was mediocre at best. Didn't have much flavor and I added add'l seasoning. Don't really get the high ratings.

Spinach and Feta Pita Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2010
This is quite good, but you've got to have a tasty pesto sauce. I tried it with Sacla from Fresh Market, and it was yummy. I tried it with a pesto sauce from Whole Foods, and it tasted like dog food. All about the pesto sauce. Skipped mushrooms, added grilled chicken and moz cheese. Yummy, easy, and nutritious.

Enchilada Casserole III

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2009
Pretty good. Used Maltese Mom's comments. Added fresh cilantro on top. Had to cook 30 minutes. Could use some hot sauce in my opinion. Not enough spice for me but a good, easy weekday meal.
