Grilled Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2010
I didn't have rosemary, I have never been a fan of it, so I subbed with dried basil. Also, the pepper seemed like way too much so I used 1 tsp and it was still too peppery. I loved the flavor the grill gave the potatoes. I will just cut back on the pepper next time. Thanks for sharing!

Easy Iced Coffee

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2009
This was great! I added a tiny bit more sugar because I like these drinks sweet. I added a couple squirts of dulce de leche syrup too, well, because I like things sweet :-) Thanks for sharing! I just saved $4 something instead of cruising to Starbucks.

Megan's Granola

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2009
This is great granola. I replaced the vegetable oil with coconut oil. The result is very rustic tasting. I don't think it was too sweet at all. I made 1/2 the amount called for to try it out first. I am glad I did because I burned it. I put the two cookie sheets side by side on the same rack and the sides were touching the oven... Big no no. It was burned in 7 minutes. I redid it without it touching the oven and it turned out great.

Cream Puffs

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2009
So easy and so yummy! I followed the recipe to a "T" and they came out perfect. I didn't poke a hole in them, they didn't deflate at all. Thanks for sharing :-)

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2009
Like this recipe needed another review but my oh my YUMMY! I made the dough in my bread machine. My machine came with a book of recipes and there is one for cinnamon rolls so I just put the ingriedients in the order that that recipe suggested. I made the rolls and put them in a wax paper lined baking dish that I sprayed with Pam, and covered them with clear wrap and threw them in the fridge. The brown sugar and cinnamon ratio was PERFECT. I think that is why these resemble the "Cinnabon" so well, it makes them ooey and gooey inside. Thanks for sharing

Black Bean Rice Burgers

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2009
I thought these were really good. The rice adds some firmness to the burger. I also added some crsushed whole wheat saltines, salt, pepper, chili powder, and a little chopped garlic. These were great! Thanks for sharing :-)

Lemon Orzo Primavera

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2009
DEE-LICIOUS! This is great! I went ahead and toasted the orzo in oil for two minutes and then I added just the veggie broth. I used a 14 oz. can plus a tad from another can in fear the liquid would all be absorbed. I cooked like this for 7 minutes. After the 7 minutes I added everthing else and cooked for 8 more minutes. This was just scrumtious. I served with "Grilled Lemon Chicken" from AR. What a combo! Thanks for sharing :-)

Butter Icing for Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2009
Exactly what I was looking for! I kept the pan on the stove on VERY low just to keep it from hardening. I had to stir before each time I iced a cookie but it was well worth it. This icing is not too soft or hard. You can stack cookies after they dry. Thanks for sharing!

Health Nut Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2009
These are awesome! I completely omitted the blueberries and used all bananas. I used three bananas total. I left the recipe exactly as it is otherwise. I froze them and I take one out each night to go with hubbies breakfast every morning. Thanks for sharing!

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
Great recipe! I added 2 T of flaxseed and 4 T of wheat germ to add some extra heartiness. I didn't have pecans but I had some ground up walnuts so I added those into the mix. (My kids don't like to bite into a whole nut but they don't mind the flavor so I grind them in a coffee grinder.) I didn't quite do the full oil and I used canola instead of vegetable. I didn't have any semi-sweet choco chips so I used one Hershey's milk chocolate bar and that was the perfect amount of sweetness. I didn't make the topping and I used old fashioned oats and they worked just great. These were great... thanks for sharing! I know I changed a lot and I hate reviewing a recipe when I change so much but I just wanted others to see what substitutions work, I hope you don't mind! :-)

Lemony Turkey Rice Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2008
This soup was just great! I made the soup without lemon for my non-lemon loving family and they liked it a lot. I added 1 1/2 t of chicken bouillon to add some flavor. I sauted about 1/2 an onion in the pot before adding in all the other ingredients. I added the lemon to my individual serving and it was absolutely delicious! I also doubled the pepper in the soup. Thanks for sharing :-)

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2008
YUMMO! Best cookie ever! I used butter because that is all I had. I rolled into balls, then rolled into sugar and then slightly flattened with a cup. They spread and were very thin. So the next ones I left in balls and they were PERFECT! So soft, and moist! I used the "Sugar Cookie Glaze" from here and drizzled over. Just delicious!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
This was DELICIOUS! I used chicken stock instead of water and I added the 2T of chicken bouillon and it had a TON of flavor. I added a very tiny bit of salt since the ham has so much already. YUMMO! Thanks for sharing :-)
