I've been in the food service industry for over 35 years. I never went to school, have been self taught. I enjoy competition a lot because it always teaches me something new.

I like to stir fry a lot. But baking too is my passion.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love doing the Norwegian and German dishes. Along with all the Scandinavian baked goods. Mom and I used to go through about 50#'s of flour and sugar every Christmas.
My cooking triumphs
I have over 450 ribbons from the Hennepin County Fair and Minnesota State Fair. More than half are blue and purple sweepstakes.
My cooking tragedies
Substituting salt for sugar when I was a kid.
