Grilled Marinated Shrimp

Reviewed: May 21, 2011
Only change I made was to use tomato sauce instead of tomato paste since I didn't have any on-hand and it was great!

Garlic Chicken And Grapes

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2010
The sauce was quite tasty. The addition of grapes was OK - I liked it pretty well but the hubby thought it was strange tasting, thus the 4 instead of 5 stars.

Black Beans and Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2010
Very good and easy. Only difference I made was to use boneless chopes. Also used a Spike's black bean salsa which went well with the black beans.

Gourmet Sweet Potato Classic

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2010
Very good. One note on the recipe instructions - the sweet potatoes will not be soft enough to mash with only 35 min in the oven, need closer to an hour on 350.

Pumpkin Pie Cake II

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2010
Made recipe as stated and it was fantastic! Took it to an anniversary party not realizing there would be cake and ice cream so I thought it wouldn't be eaten... WRONG! Not a crumb was left!

Marinated Pork Roast with Currant Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2010
After reading the other reviews I was curious to try the sauce - it was quite good as others stated (I used red currant jelly, btw), but what was understated in my and my husband's opinion, was the marinade - made the meat fantastic! Easy recipe and overall terrific.

Beef and Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2010
Made as recipe stated with exception of using beef broth instead of chicken broth as other reviewers had suggested. Meat was tender and the flavor was nice but nothing spectacular. I would use about half the lentils called for - there were definitely more of them than anything else - and increase the veggies.

Red Snapper in Grape Leaves with Garlic and Caper butter

Was looking for a way to use the rest of some jarred grape leaves and found this recipe - made it exactly as stated and it was delicious!

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
Very good, made the modifications a couple of other people suggested (adding cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla to the batter). I left the butter in since I had always made banana bread with oil and wanted to try it; personally I think it made it better with butter. Just call me Paula Deen. :o)

French Onion Soup Gratinee

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2008
Good recipe. The only thing I'd change next time is to make the broth all beef, no chicken to make it a little meatier tasting.
