Bacon Gravy for Biscuits

This is so easy. I love b & g but have a hard time finding good versions at LA-area restaurants. Now I don't have to worry about it anymore. I also like this recipe because it makes cleaning up the bacon pan easier!

French Silk Chocolate Pie I

This is tasty, but I feel guilty eating it! First off, I doubled the filling or else it would have been puny. Next time I'll cut the sugar to about 1 - 1.25 cups because it seems a bit sweet. I also only used 3 squares chocolate when doubling. You might even get by with less than that. I think it would be way too rich with the original recipe. With these modifications I think I can enjoy this fully, sacrifice little on taste and not feel guilty!

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

I used all the ingredients in the listed quantities but baked my chicken. It tasted great and didn't lose anything despite not frying. Also, I've never understood why buffalo style chicken is relegated to the lowly wing. I used drumsticks. Way better, way more meat, way less fat. This recipe is about as easy as it gets with a big reward!

Puff Pastry Salmon Bundles

This is great, easy and looks sophisticated! Perfect for guests. I've substituted sea bass and cod and both work equally as good. I double the sauce.

Jacksonville Carrots

We did this for an early Thanksgiving and it seemed to go over well. I doubled the recipe for 11 people and was lucky to get a few strands. It will now be a recurring player at Thanksgiving!

Beef Stew VI

Too bland for my liking possibly because I didn't thicken the broth enough. I even cut one cup of the water and it was still too thin. Just not a rich enough recipe for my taste. Seems like it needs more seasoning of some sort.

Pumpkin Casserole

This was great, but I modified it to make more healthy by cutting the sugar to 1/3 cup and cutting the butter to 1/4 cup. I also doubled the flour since the other solids were reduced.
