I'm mother to a 25-year-old daughter, have 2 step-sons, ages 24 and 26, and am "grammie" to a 4-year-old. (my husband is "poppy"...how cute. He came up with our names on his own!) I'm a registered nurse, and am in my last semester of grad school for my masters in nursing. I've been in Virginia Beach for 25 years, and have been married for 9 years. I don't know if this would be considered a cooking tradition, but my husband and I grocery shop for a month at one time (saves money in the long run). The day before grocery shopping day, I start searching allrecipes.com and my cook books. I make a menu for 1 month, and write my shopping list from the menu. I tend to buy just what I need, and I never have to decide in the morning before work what I'm going to cook for dinner. That, in itself, is a blessing.
