Malasadas

This is an easy and delicious recipe that made a large quantity of somewhat small malasadas (about the size of doughnut holes). Intentionally, I omitted the eggs and the dough came out fluffy and easy to fry. I believe that by omitting the eggs the time frying could be reduced by half.

Mexican Rice II

Excellent recipe. Today I prepared this recipe for the second time. The rice was tasty and airy. I use the pressure cooker to make rice with excellent results. Total cooking time in the pressure cooker is about five minutes from the moment the rocker starts rocking. The pressure cooker saves me time and preserves many food nutrients.

Perfect Apple Pie

Absolutely, this recipe produces the best apple pie that I have ever eaten! My husband could not wait to eat it after lunch and he ate a large slice before lunch today. Also, I did listen to the advice given by two reviewers in which they recommend to replace one of the two cups of white sugar for one cup of brown sugar. I also added a teaspoon of salt to the apple filling. Fantastic!

Amish Peanut Butter

Danish Potato Soup

Delicious! I grilled it and spread garlic butter on top. My husband topped the bread with olive salad, sharp cheddar and feta cheese. A full meal for pennies.

Sourdough Bread

Oh, so good! This is the first time that my home-made bread came out delicious, aromatic, and crusty. I Used my table top electric oven-toaster to bake it with perfect results. The bread raised tall and rounded on top. I will make it again and again. This morning I had a delicious slide of bread with nothing on it...it is that delicious

Texas Coleslaw

I am from Texas and never tasted coleslaw more delicious than this. The cummin added a binding twist between German and Mexican cuisine. This recipe made enough coleslaw for 10 people.
