Steamed Blue Crabs
Boiling crabs should be a crime. I grew up in Maryland and remember my father making blue crabs this same way. The only difference, when adding crabs to the pot, he would sprinkle Old Bay and kosher salt on crabs with each layer. Da Bomb! Remember folks, it's gotta be Old Bay. Except no substitute ! Dip in mixture of Vinegar and Season-All (season salt) or Old Bay. What a Maryland treasure. Thanks Steve for posting.

Curried Butternut Squash and Pear Soup
Great recipe. I roast the squash whole on foil directly on the oven rack. Turn over half way during cooking. Remove from oven. Let squash cool some, cut off top then slice lengthwise and scoop out the seeds. Made this with half curry powder and half gram masala. Used 1T.each ginger and garlic, minced. Also coconut milk instead of half and half. This is one to put on the rotation. YUM! Thanks..... blancdeblanc for posting.
