Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2011
I had to use a little more butter with mine but I think I should have left them in the oven a while longer. They weren't as toasty as I would have liked them. Every oven is different though and I guess it's just trial and error. Love pumpkin seeds!

Glazed Apple Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2011
I made these just like it said. The only thing I did different was just a plain glaze with milk and powdered sugar for the drizzle. They were wonderful! I hope they freeze well cause I'm gonna make some more without the icing to freeze. Have lots of apples this year. Thanx for a GREAT recipe!

Corny Corn Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2009
After reading several reviews, I decided to cut the whole recipe in half. There are only three of us. Instead of sugar, I used Altern, cut the oil in half again and added an extra 1/4 c. milk. I used rehydrated powdered milk to save some fat calories. Instead of onion, I chopped up a fresh jalapeno pepper and added 1/3 c. or so of shredded Colby Jack cheese. It baked for about 35 minutes in an 8 x 8 pan. We loved the texture as well as the flavor! Not nearly as crumbly as the mixes! Thanx for the recipe.

Slow Cooker Swiss Steak

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2008
I used this recipe with wild boar ham steaks, left out the flour and the brown sugar, added garlic, Splenda, and green peppers. It was great with mashed potatoes!
