About this Cook
I worked as a TV producer and exec for over 20 years and now work in project management. However cooking has been my passion since I was a child. My grandfather was a Chef and my grandmother cooked everything with fresh ingredients and from scratch. I carry on their tradition with my family and friends. For me, each meal is a creative production!
My favorite things to cook
Just about everything! I enjoy blending herbs and spices to create new and exciting flavors and adding my own twist to old recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving! It's a family tradition to gather at my house now. I always include favorites for my children, nieces and nephew on the menu. And I introduce a new item to expand their culinary awareness. The combination of great food and fellowship makes each Thanksgiving a holiday to remember!
My cooking triumphs
An incredible seven course Thanksgiving dinner for 12 people! Everything from scratch with 4 new original recipes! My family still talks about the meal.
My cooking tragedies
Biscuits from scratch! I began cooking as soon as I could see over the stove. My first batch of biscuits came out so hard, my sister and I threw them against the side of our house to see if they would break. (About the third try!)

Oatmeal Banana Nut Bread
I've made this recipe about a dozen times! I always add 1/2 tsp. cinnamon and nutmeg to recipe. And I use butter instead of shortening.

High Temperature Eye-of-Round Roast
I usually create a flavorable rub adding garlic, minced onion, red pepper and a few other spices to the salt and pepper. Delicious every time.

Thai Red Chicken Curry
Love this recipe. Use with chicken or shrimp. I also add other veggies that I have on hand. I also add ground coriander in place of the fresh cilantro.
