Grandma's Corn Chowder

Good stuff but every time I use cream corn I always add a feew sliced mushrooms and finely chopped fresh bell pepper adding the bell pepper just a few minutes before serving.

Sweet Grilled Corn

Good but it kind of covered the corn flavor. Try butter, soy sauce and tarragon mixture and do the coern the same way. Go easy on the tarragon.

Green Bean and Bacon Saute

Brown Beans

My folks made this 60 year ago. The ham bone is the real plus as it cooks. They added onion, celery and carrots. It is magnificent fresh and re-heated. Bread and butter on the side and lots of tobasco and seasoning salt.

Chicago-Style Pan Pizza

One very, very critical item on pizza is letting the mozarella cheese dry out in the fridgeopen to air for 5-6 hours before putting it on. This will give the cheese the "stretch" proprerty you see when pulling a wedge from the pie. "Wet" cheese is a no-no on pizza.

Fried Rice Restaurant Style

Boil your rice one day ahead and a few hours before making this recipe uncover the rice and spread it out on a plate to let it dry a bit. This prevents the rice from lumping. I also boil the rice in any of several choices of broth for added flavor. Add the chopped up scrambled eggs separate after they are done.Add sesame oil and toss in the pan before putting on the plate.
