Slow-Cooked White Chili

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2012
I was lazy and I just threw the turkey I was using and the broth in with everything at the beginning to let it cook, and it turned out great!

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2011
Easy and delicious! I made it with a yellow squash of some type as well as zucchini, so I came out with cool yellow / green colors inside!

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2011
I made this the other night for dinner, but had no 9x9" pan, so I tried a circular pan similar to the pictured one. Unfortunately, the cornbread was still gooshy when it was time for dinner, but the parts that we ate from the edge were awesome! I will definitely be making this again (in a larger, flat pan). Thanks!

Chicken with Peanut Curry Yogurt Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2011
I enjoyed this recipe. It was very easy to make and tasted great as a leftover as well. However, the sauce was a bit too thick and grainy. I added milk as other reviewers suggested, and while the sauce thinned out, it still had a coarse texture. Perhaps it was the peanut butter that I used (JIF).

Cheese Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: May 15, 2011
I used dribs and drabs of cheese around the kitchen to make this (cheddar, jack, and American cheese adding up to one cup), and while the taste was fine, the texture and consistency were terrible. I even let the entire soup simmer for fifteen minutes with the lid off attempting to get rid of its liquid nature, but alas, the result was simply an extremely grainy soup.

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2011
I used an orange pepper instead of several peppers, and took out the mushrooms, but this was still a very delicious and easy dinner! I will be making this again.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2010
I chose these because I was jonesing for brownies but was feeling too lazy to work hard for them. This recipe was quick and very simple. When they first came out of the oven I didn't like them as much as I had hoped I would. Just your average brownies. But the next day when they had cooled they were fantastic! My roommates and I downed them in a very short amount of time. Definitely a keeper!

Kafta (BBQ)

Reviewed: May 24, 2010
This was an easy to make and interesting recipe but my friends and I thought that it was more like meatloaf on a stick than anything else. We ended up eating it with ketchup on buns. If you are looking for something startlingly ethnic, maybe this isn't the recipe for you. If you are hoping to find a new way to make fun hamburgers then this is it.

Vegan Brownies

Reviewed: May 10, 2010
I made these while I was on a no-iodine diet and they tasted like the best things I had ever eaten. My roommates avoided them like the plague, and later, when I was off the diet I tried making these brownies again remembering how amazing they were and found to my disgust that they tasted like cat food. So...if you can't eat real brownies, these are delicious, but don't make them if you have tasted normal brownies in the past several weeks.

Baked Ziti II

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
My friends and I often halve this recipe and make it in the dorms because it is so simple and yet tasty! The new version we use is 8 oz pasta, 20 oz mozzarella / italian mix cheese, 1 egg, and 16 oz spaghetti sauce. It works really well. You can go with more cheese or less depending on what you want. It is definitely not an exact science!

Homemade Focaccia Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2009
This was an easy and simple bread to make. It tasted great straight out of the oven -- almost like breadsticks! The next day however it was not particularly great. Still, I will probably make it the next time I am hosting any friends with an italian entree!

Easy Fettucine Alfredo

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2009
Very easy but kind of funky tasting. With some more experimentation this could be a fabulous recipe for those who don't want to spend a lot of time or money on a pasta dish.

Sweet and Sour Chicken I

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2008
There's NO way that you need a quart of oil to fry these in. All it did was make the chicken (while tasty, I will say) get rather soggy and saturated. We couldn't managed to cook the oil off, and ended up having to dump a great deal of the oil into a jar at the end of the evening.

B'stilla

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2008
My whole family loved this! Perhaps in the future I might try substituting "hotter" spices like chili pepper, etc in for the cinnamon to give it a more entree and less dessertish feel.

Chicken Milano

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2008
Though slightly tricky to prepare this meal was a hit with my entire family (picky little brother included). This Chicken Milano was one of the most "professional" style, restaurant-quality recipes to have graced our household's kitchen.

Classic Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2008
It tastes like it needs some other flavour besides the sharp cheddar. Perhaps adding a different kind of cheese or even chunks of ham / hotdog would liven this recipe up.
