Halibut Steaks

I just made this for dinner tonight, and I have one word for you...WOW! After reading the reviews, I decided to rub the halibut steaks (yes, I used steaks, not filets) with olive oil, salt and pepper, and placed them in the bottom of a CorningWare dish. Then I sauteed the veggies (carrots, zucchini, snow peas, cauliflower, onions and lots of garlic) in olive oil for just a couple minutes and dumped them over the fish. Baked at 400 degrees for 20 minutes (omitting the tomato) and it was fabulous. I'll be making this again.

Garlic Chicken with Orzo Noodles

I made this tonight and it was great. I used the basil/garlic/tomato combination recommended by several reviewers and thought it was delicious. Thank goodness for leftovers!

Sausage 'n Stout Cheese Soup

I followed this recipe to the letter, and wasn't super pleased with the results. The soup needed more, maybe celery, onions and/or peppers, and more potatoes. It was too thin and brothy, even after the addition of the cheese and milk. Overall, very boring. If I make this again, I'll definitely make some additions.

Guinness® Bread

This bread was great! I only made one small change...I was out of brown sugar so I used an equal amount of raw sugar. We were very happy with the flavor and level of moisture. I will definitely make this again!

Whole Wheat Zucchini Bread

I liked this recipe very much, but I did make a few small changes. Following the advice of some other reviewers, I used sugar instead of the honey, as I like the extra sweetness. I also used sunflower seeds in place of the walnuts, becuase I had them on hand. I also subbed coconut oil for the oil called for, it adds a rich flavor to baked goods. Otherwise, the recipe was great, I will definitely make it again!
