Quick Cream Cheese Fruit Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2014
Substitute flavored cream cheese. I always use strawberry.

Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2010
Very good though I did not use the full 8 cups of sugar, yikes. I used 1 cup of butter, 6 cups of sugar and somewhere between 1/4 and 1/2 a cup of milk. Pipes wonderfully on cakes.

Aunt Mary's Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2010
Awesome cake! I doubled this recipe for my daughters birthday cake though I left out 1/2 a cup of the liquid (used 1 cup of coffee, 1 cup of water and 1/2 cup of milk for the doubled version) and had to sub the second 2oz of unsweetened chocolate with cocoa powder but no big deal there. I carved this cake into a Dora and it was dense enough to hold up to that for sure.

Sophie's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2010
Fabulous bread! I used cinnamon applesauce instead of the oil and cut the added cinnamon by 1/2 a teaspoon. I also used an 8x10 (I think that is the size) pa since I didn't have two loaf pans and baked it for 45 mins. It was perfectly golden brown and just crunchy on the outside and moist and delicious on the outside! Definitely will be making this again!

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread I

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2009
Awesome, definitely more like a cake than bread but great none the less. I actually used a nine by thirteen pan instead of the loaf pans. One of the reviews said to coat the choco chips in flour first then mix them in. I did it once this way and once with out doing that and it does make a difference. Great recipe I have made about three times in the last two months.

Black Bottom Cupcakes II

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2009
These are fabulous! I replaced the water with left over morning coffee but otherwise made them as the recipe said and they turned out great. I read a few of the reviews and a few others said that they spilled over so I put a sheet pan under them but had no issue with them spilling over. I think maybe they over filled the pan. Yummy! Even yummier the next day!

Brussels Sprouts in Mustard Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2009
I think this recipe is great. Cooking the sprouts in the chicken broth takes some of the bitterness out of them. The only thing I might change was using half the amount for the lemon juice. Excellent though makes me like sprouts which I am not necessarily a fan of plain.

The Meatball that Fell Off the Table

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2008
Awesome! Very yummy meatballs. I like many others used the dijon mustard instead of the coriander. I also added beef stock to my mushroom soup to thin it down. Otherwise I followed it exactly and they are great.

Baked Pork Chops II

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2008
Yummy!! The only thing I did different was using pizza sauce instead of plain tomato sauce and it was fabulous, gave it a bit of extra zip. Thank you for this recipe I love it. I like a few others was skeptical at first but it's awesome.
