Me in All My Glory
About this Cook
I am a recent college graduate with a B.S. in Psychology. I am working with youth currently and love it. I am good at baking but need to learn to cook better. Also I need to expand my list of meals we cook. And I love learning healthy alternatives and meals.
My favorite things to cook
I love to Bake! Pies are probably my favorite. And I love making big meals for lots of people.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas Dinner. As a kid and teen we would spend days on Christmas dinner. A day for cookies and pie, a day for candy, and a day for dinner. I love learning from my grandmother!
My cooking triumphs
Pie! Cooking for large amounts of people. Pretty good at altering recipes to our taste. Pretty good at baking.
My cooking tragedies
Burning food, haha. Also I tend to cook on high instead of at the normal temp. which I am learning not to do :) And I have problems cooking just for two.

Scottish Shortbread I
Personally I did not enjoy this recipe. I read the reviews and took all the tips under advisement. These were just not how I am used to shortbread tasting. To me shortbread is buttery and flavorful and these, to me, tasted more like baked cookie dough.

Salsa Chicken
Both me and hubby loved this recipe. The sour cream side is definitely a bonus. It is so simple to make and very tasty. Absolutely a must try recipe.

Best Ever Pie Crust
My old family pie crust recipe is almost exactly the same as this. It is excellent! I am definitely going to try the chilling method. And the plastic wrap method one of the reviewers suggested.
