Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2010
This is probably the best potato soup I have ever made or eaten! I sauted the ham, onion and celery along with some shredded carrots and a couple of garlic cloves in a little oil before adding the potatoes and water. I also substituted one of the cups of milk for a cup of heavy cream. It was absolutely delicious!! Can't wait to try other variations!

Bacon Mushroom Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2010
This was incredible! Especially for how easy it is! I used boneless, skinless chicken breasts and added more mushrooms because my husband loves them. I also added flour to my drippings before adding the cream and then used cornstarch to help thicken the sauce -used around a half cup of cream. The sauce was great with mashed potatoes too. SO good!

Marzetti® Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2010
Very good! I wasn't too sure about the taste of the mushroom soup/salsa mixture, but my husband thought it was good. Next time may try cream of chicken soup.

Turtle Cheesecake from Nestle® Nesquik™

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2010
This was very good! I cut the chocolate mixture down by a third per reviews and because I am not a big chocolate fan. Very tasty and looked professional!

Chicken Diane Style

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2010
This was SO good! I used apple juice in place of the brandy and green onions in place of the chives and it was excellent! I would say this was probably one of the best recipes that I have gotten off here! I will defintely be making again!

Lemon Cream Pasta with Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2010
Very simple and tasty! I sauted my chicken in oil rather than baking it to save time. I also added some broccoli and cauliflower. The broth/spice/lemon juice mixture gave the pasta an awesome taste!

Sunday Gumbo

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2009
I made a few slight changes such as using Italian seasoning in place of the marjoram, adding Tony Cachere's seasoning to taste and using diced tomatoes w/chilies. This gumbo was awesome! I took it to a church function and everyone was raving!!

White Bean Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2009
I changed this up a little by- boiling and shredding my chicken, adding bell pepper in with the onion and garlic, adding two small cans of salsa verde in place of the tomatillos as stated earlier, one can of Del Monte diced tomatoes with chilis and one can of mild Rotel rather than just regular diced tomatoes, and a small can of corn in place of the fresh. Everything I else I did as the recipe calls for. This chili was delicious!!! We ate it topped with shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream. I will defintely make aqain!!

Steak Subs

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2009
I prepared my meat the night before and marinaded overnight. I also followed the suggestions of some other reviews, by adding bell pepper along with the onion and dashing with garlic salt. I buttered my sub buns and sprinkled them with garlic salt, melting the butter in the oven before adding the meat and cheese. These were delicious!! I will definitely make again!

Deluxe Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2009
A couple of my potatoes were about medium sized, so I cut the sour cream to 1/4 c. I also used the chive and onion cream cheese, rather than the chopped chives. I added cheddar cheese and real bacon bits to the mix and also sprinkled a little cheese on top. It may have been something I did, but the consistency was a little too runny. The taste was awesome though!! I will definitely make again!

Stuffed Green Peppers I

Reviewed: May 26, 2009
They were okay...a little lacking in flavor. I think some spices would have helped. I added alot of salt to mine as I was eating it to help add some flavor.

Kathy's Roast and Vegetables

Reviewed: May 5, 2009
I cooked the roast for about 8 1/2 hours, adding my vegetable a little less than half way through. After it was done, I added a little cornstarch to some of the gravy to thicken it. For some reason my roast was somewhat tough, not at all tender...but the gravy with the potatoes and carrots were awesome!

Pasta Carbonara

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2008
I wasn't very impressed with this recipe. It didn't seem to have enough ingredients so I added mushrooms, chicken, and broccoli to mine and it still seemed to lack in flavor. It was a little better with some added salt. My husband thought it was pretty good, but I probably won't be making it again.

Garlic Creamed Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2008
Since several of the review said that the sauce was too thick, I added a little milk to it to thin it. But after I had baked, me and my husband both thought it was WAY to runny! So I think if I would have stuck to the original recipe it would have turned out better. It had a good taste.
