Orange Bow Knots

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2012
Lovely! I made the rolls as directed and then just put regular vanilla icing on top and wow wow its good stuff. My husband brought them to work and the plate was clean when it came back :). I have not tried the recipe with the orange icing it calls for but I will say this, with just vanilla icing the rolls themselves have a VERY Subtle Orange taste its not a punch in the face orange taste. My husband did want more of the orange flavor but I like it simple tasting, so if you are a orange fanatic then make the icing in the recipe.

Great taste! I only sprinkled in some red pepper so it wouldn't be to hot for my son and we all really enjoyed this for dinner.

Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2011
WOW yum! Taste like a reese's! I used this recipe on chocolate cupcakes and they tasted great. When it was at room temperature it was about a 8 but after I refrigerated them the frosting taste and texture really shined through and the frosting was definitely a 10.

Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2011
Tasted great, I also added 2 table spoons of cream cheese just to mix it up. I do not recommend the canned/jar dry parmesan, I used that type and could not get it to mix, it stayed grannie. Thanks for the recipe.

Mini Cheesecakes

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2010
They tasted great and thats the 3 stars. But.....the problem was they would not peel off the wrapper, it just all pulled down like it got smashed or something when you tried to take the wrapper off. I cooked these according to the directions and refrigerated them overnight so I'm not sure if I just didn't follow the recipe right or if that's just the way they are.

Sausage, Kale, and White Bean Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2010
I was looking for a recipe to use up my kale, and this one was perfect. I used a mixed bag of beans and followed its package cooking directions (bring to a boil and simmer beans with the meat for 2hours and 30 mins) because I do not have a pressure cooker. Used a regular med onion, 1/2 pound smoked sausage and half of a bunch of Kale, and left out the hot sauce. This dish was amazing with very earthy flavors even my 6 year old loved it (when given goldfish crackers to eat with it :P).

Crispy and Creamy Doughnuts

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
These doughnuts taste more like a sweet dinner roll than like a doughnut. Or maybe even the bread you use for cinnamon rolls. I stuck with the recipe and followed the advise to put them on greased wax paper so not to deflate them but still got a more dinner roll texture and taste. My son loves them regardless, bread and sugar together is all he cares about :). If you just want something sweet for the kids this is fun and easy to make together. So I give it 3 stars for the fun activity to do with my son and not 5 stars because I expected crispy creamy tastyness and didn't get it.
