Magic Peanut Butter Middles

SO AWESOME. Added maybe 2 T milk and some extra PB to batter. Didn't crack at all. Made the middles, put in fridge, then made cookie dough. Flatten dough, put PB ball in middle, then wrap around and roll.

Bread Bowls

I was very careful in making these (used my Kitchenaid) and monitored very closely, but these did not turn out well. They fell flat (as many others mentioned), and I had to add a bunch of spices to make them taste good. Would be good crusty rolls with another dish, but definitely did not work as bowls. I also cut the sugar in half to keep from being too sweet.

Double Fudge Kahlua Brownies

These are fabulous by simply following the recipe! They are rich, but not too chocolatey gooey brownie. Be very careful not to overbake--mine were ready right at 25 minutes. The only thing I had to change was to decrease the amount of powdered sugar in the frosting--2 c. would have made a VERY thick (probably unspreadable) frosting. I started out with about a cup and that ended up being the right amount. These could definitely handle a larger dose of Kahlua if you want to taste it.

Black Forest Cake II

Not that great, especially considering how much time and effort it took. The kirch definitely gets stronger the longer you store it so be aware of that. I don't know how anyone would eat more than a bite or two of this at a time--it is SO rich!!

Delicious and very chocolatey. They were terrific even after freezing the log of dough for 3 weeks--just a tad bit drier than original. DO NOT overcook or they get dry and crumbly (still delicious, though!)

Poppy Seed and Banana Muffins

I usually love bran muffins, but these were just dense and not very flavorful. I even added vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg to some of them and that didn't make them much better. These just aren't that great.
