Well lets see there is so much to say about myself but so little space in which to do so so I will keep it simple. I love cooking, I'm always trying out new stuff via the traditional trial and era which is so much fun...When cooking I prefer to use fresh ingredients and making things from scratch rather than going the easy route of store bought pre-prepared stuff.
My favorite things to cook
Pasta, i'm always creating new combinations of things to add to my pasta dishes.
Chicken and seafood based recipes.
Greek and Italian
Spicy Indian Curries
My favorite family cooking traditions
My Nana is the Queen of Baking I remember growing up on her favourite Vermont Chocolate Fudge Cake which I still have a weakness for several years later. I have tried to make it a couple of times but somehow mine doesn't taste as good as Nana's. Need to practice more.
My dad on the other hand is the King of BBQ, I've never come across anyone else who can BBQ a piece of meat to mouth-watering, tender, melt in your mouth beef
My cooking triumphs
Perfect Italian Meatballs.
Perfect Apricot Chicken Casserole
Perfect Italian Chicken Parmigiana
and of course my inventive Pasta dishes.
My cooking tragedies
When I was 12 and feeling rather adventurous I made pancakes that made my family cry. The colour assaulted the eyes because I had put in blue food coloring in the batter and accidentally added chilli powder as well. Suffice to say it was a long time before I attempted to make pancakes again.
My first ever baking experience was a sponge cake that was so hard we couldn't even slice it. Any attempts to do so made it crumble into dust...
