Mint Julep - Party-Size

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2014
Worked well for New Years, but didn't go as fast as drinks from year's past. We went a bit sweeter. The feedback while good overall included a number of "strong" and "too sweet" comments. We'll experiment with adding lemon juice to the leftovers (we premixed it to avoid the recipe variation you get from filling the fountain while drunk).

Purple Apple Slaw

Delicious! Great flavor and surprising pink sauce. Made the mayo in the blender then added the rest of the sauce ingredients sans milk. Skipped the onion too...

Quinoa Chard Pilaf

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2009
Loved this!! Fed this is my boyfriend and he was also impressed. Our new favorite meatless meal! Made some modifications.... I sauteed the swiss chard stems in the beginning w/ the onion. It game the whole dish a kind of redish huge. Other commenters mentioned it was bit bland so I added two small peppers, a bay leaf, basil, and oregano. Not bland at all! Also, left out the mushrooms. Super yum!

Cinnamon Pumpkin Waffles

Yum! Cooked this without the wheat germ or pecans. The cooking time was a bit off. Just over 7 minutes worked well.

Whole Wheat Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2008
I made this recipie in 3/4 proportion. I used all whole wheat flour (instead of some white, some wheat) and 2 tsp baking powder and 2 tsp baking soda (a little extra to compensate for the whole wheat flour). It turned out fabulous!
