I don't know what to say that is relevant to cooking, other than, my mom had me cooking ever since I was quite young. My husband never complains about my cooking, (only to say I don't cook enough). I put that I am expert, but technically, I think I am in between Intermediate and expert, just because I have a lot to learn. But I find it quite easy to cook and the turn out is almost always delicious!
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things for me to cook are recipes handed down from my Great-Grandmother, and authentic dishes from other countries. For the most part, I love to cook anything, and love to try new recipes. We are constantly looking for a new "favorite" dish in the house.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family has recently put a cookbook together as a memorial for my Great-Grandma, who was THE best cook in her day. It has all of her old ways of making everything from scratch. From Chicken noodle soup complete with homemade noodles (everyone's favorite), to homemade wheat bread and cookies.
My cooking triumphs
I am known for baking cakes from scratch (not from a box, I knew someone who thought a box was baking a cake from scratch), I love to bake cakes. I am not a superior decorator, but the cake tastes exestential!
My cooking tragedies
I once made chicken alfredo, and I didn't have any basalmic vinegarette on hand, so I improvised, and I substituted the basalmic for raspberry hazelnut vinegarette. The whole dish turned pink. My husband liked it, but I couldn't get past the look, and found myself eating only a tiny bit.
