I also like to make new(to my family) recipes from old cookbooks Whenever I cook something for the second time (meaning, the boys liked it) I have the kids help make it. That way I'm teaching them how to cook while guaranteeing that they will eat it. I found and successfully made croquettes (chicken) I tried to improve a cookie recipe and they tasted great, If you like raw cookie dough and really crispy brownie. They also stuck to the cookie sheet.
