Yum this is good.I didn't bake in skillet. I baked in a nine inch pie pan. Served with Colcannon from this site for St. Patties Day. This bread is really delicious with some butter and jam on it. Very easy.

This stuff is good! I did use white onion because I didn't have leeks. I also substituted nutmeg for mace like another reviewer did. Great!!!

Elderberry Pie II

This was the first elderberry pie I ever baked. The pies I baked were for an elderly man who is ill. He loved them. I found out that I don't care for elderberries, but this recipe was the best. I didn't have any fresh elderberries available, so I bought some dried ones and soaked them until plump. Thanks for this recipe.

City Chicken

I have been making City Chicken occasionally for many years. Tried this recipe last night. I had never tried it with the chicken broth and this was very good! I always use beef and pork on my skewers. A lot of times you can find these already on skewers at a meat market. I served this with an apricot cashew rice and the meal was so good! To save time make up your skewers ahead of time. Will make again.

Kidney Beans and Corn

My grandma used to make a dish like this. She used creamed corn and kidney beans. We called it "kali ca mash" She sered it with bacon and we had a meal. Those were the days.

Peanut Butter Cake II

This cake is wonderful. I made 2 of them for a birthday party. On one of them I used a chocolate cake mix, but used same ingredients. Both cakes were wonderful. I also sprinkeled some chopped pecans on top..Yum! Will make again! Thanks
