Sugar Cookie Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2009
Perfect for the almond sugar cookies I made. I did cut the recipe in half and still had enough for 2 1/2 dozen. I added almond extract instead to accent the almond batter I used. My kids loved them. I bet they will be a big hit at the party tomorrow too! Thanks!

Honey Chicken Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
This recipe was wonderful! The only thing I did different was made a double batch of the sauce, and that was still not as much as I would like but was a very good dinner. I also added fresh crushed garlic to the recipe. My son who does not like chicken even ate it. I did use fresh veggies i.e. broccoli, sugar snap peas, carrots, mushrooms and orange sweet pepper. Thank you for a simple tasty recipe.

Crunchy Turkey Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
This recipe was good except for the sauce. However I did find a sauce off a chicken salad recipe on here that was even easier and required less ingredients that went fabulous. I even made a second batch! So thank you for the base recipe.

German Potato Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2008
Super recipe! I had to make 2 batches for my family. They gobbled them up including my 3 year old picky eater. The only thing I did different was I made sure the moisture was squeezed completely out of the potatoes. I also added an extra TB of flour to each batch. Fried up perfect! Yum! Thanks!

Broccoli n Tomato Pasta

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2008
Overall very good!! I altered it a little bit to suite my kids. I used the base of the recipe to build off of. I used fresh broccoli, cherry tomatoes and added fresh cut mushrooms.Used 4 cloves of diced garlic instead of 2. Sauteed in margarine instead of oil as my kids like the flavor of margarine better. I left out the parsley, black olives and red pepper flakes. Added about 1/4 tsp. of sweet basil and oregano. It was so delicious my son had 2 helpings!! Thanks for sharing!

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: May 19, 2008
Very good recipe. Yielded 2 nice loaves last evening. Husband ate one loaf himself! My kids ate it with some plain cream cheese spread across the slice. I have to buy a new zucchini at the grocers tomorrow to make more! Thanks!

Albino Pasta

Reviewed: May 19, 2008
I took the other reviewers suggestions and had to dress this dish up to my families liking. I sauted the garlic with some onions in butter instead of the oil. I then added button mushroom to the onions and garlic and sauteed those also. Added some EVOO to the pasta noodles, a splash of lemon, parmesan and poured the sauteed mixture over it all. This dish definitely needed salt added. Would have probably been good with some sweet basil. We all ate it...not bad!

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: May 18, 2008
Was very good...but I will tweak the recipe and follow the other reviews warnings, next time. Was terribly to salty. Must cut back on the onion soup mix. Also definitely needs to be put on bread or on a rack in the pan...is very greasy! I did put the glaze on top...gave it a great flavor! Will make again with the changes.

White Chili with Ground Turkey

Reviewed: May 8, 2008
Very light and good recipe. Served it's purpose of filling up my 9 year old boy that has a problem with his tongue and can not eat red sauces including normal chili. I did however tweak it. I took everyone's advice and cut the chicken broth to 1-14 oz. can. I only added 1-4 oz. can of the green chilis. 3/4 tsp. of the cumin. Only a pinch of the cinammon and a pinch of the cayenne. I substituted 1 can of the white beans for black beans. I also added an extra large clove of garlic. However, I still felt it was to thin of a consistency for our liking so I thickened it with a water/flour mixture. Added half a bag of the 4 blended Mexican mix cheeses. Added a dollop of sour crean and served with tortilla chips. Wonderful!! Would definitely make again!

Rosemary and Garlic Simmered Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2008
I needed a new pork chop recipe that was fast and easy but also something that my 9 year old son would eat. He is tired of me making the same meat recipes and decided to become a vegetarian. So when I agreed to look for new recipes he agreed to eat meat again. Thank you so much for sharing this as he ate a whole butterfly pork chop. I did alter it a bit only because I did not have all the exact ingredients. I seasoned them with a little oregano, garlic and black pepper. I rubbed the pork with these 3 and browned them in EVOO. I then added a can of beef broth and simmered. Was absolutely wonderful! Very moist and broke apart with a fork. I will definitely add this one to my favorite recipes!
