Amish Macaroni Salad

This is a great cookie-just a little too sweet. I reduced the brown sugar to 1 cup and also used apple juice concentrate for additional flavor in both the cookies and glaze. I also used half butter and half butter flavor Crisco. I enjoyed the butterscotch chip/apple flavor mix.

Cinnamon Chip Apple Cookies

This is a great soft apple cookie. The blend of flavors are great. I may add some chopped walnuts just because we like nuts, but the flavor is great the way it is. If you use a "juicy" variety apple, you may need to use a little (2 or 3 TBSP.) more flour. I found it helpful to leave the cookies on the cookie sheet for 2 to 3 mintues (recipe suggests 1 minute) to avoid cookies falling apart. The cookie dough is very moist as the other reviews indicate, but it does produce a very tasty soft delicious cookie!

Cheesy Sweet and Savory Spuds

My family thought these we good, but not wonderful. My family said they would prefer I didn't make them again as the flavor didn't "rock their boat"! Sorry I couldn't agree with the other reviews.

Southern Living Magazine's Chicken-Fried Steak

This is great chicken fried steak! I fried the steaks in 1/2 cup oil (instead of 3 1/2 cups called for) and it worked just fine. I also didn't fry the stakes for the 14 to 15 minutes it called for. It only took about 5 minutes. It is a "keeper".

If you could give more than five stars, I would!! This are very tasty and as good if not better than the reviews! I have made these several times since first trying them and eveyone thinks this recipe is a keeper!

Shrimp Linguine

I have tried numberous recipes from this site and have been more than happy with the results. This recipe however it not one of those! My husband said, "That was sick and wrong!". I have to agree. This won't be added to my recipe box. Sorry-I disagree with some of the other reviews

Blueberry Coffee Cake I

I agree with the other reviews, this is a great recipe. I also layered half of the topping with the blueberries (the other half on top). I used a small off set spatula to spread the 2nd batter layer which made it much easier. My husband ate half of the coffee cake and he usually doesn't touch desserts. He kept saying, "This stuff is really addictive!" Thanks for a great recipe.

Orange Cream Fruit Salad

My family thought this was a very good recipe. I drained all the canned fruit and only used about 1/2 of the dressing. A also added chopped walnuts which really added some "crunchy" to the otherwise all soft texture. I also added some well drained halved maraschino cherries for some extra color. I will make this again as it does have a refreshing flavor.

Zippy Shepherd's Pie

This recipe has excellent flavor and is easy to make. I agree with the other review, that the curry adds zip to recipe. I used sharp white cheddar for a good cheese flavor. It's a keeper!

Apple Strudel Muffins

I made these muffins (and the To Die For Blueberry Muffins) for a breakfast party. Everyone loved thsse and said they were the best muffins they had ever tasted. I agree and will be adding this recipe to my list of favorites.

Orzo with Parmesan and Basil

This was Wonderful! I added 1 small diced white onion to the butter and cooked until tender before adding the orzo to brown. I also will cut down the basil to 2 TBSP. the next time. It is delicious and I'll definitely be using this many more times!
