Cheese Fondue

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2014
Perfecto! I added the flour to the cheese before adding to the wine & added 2 cloves of garlic to the wine. This was all done in the fondue pot. Best recipe I have tried!

Lemony Lentils with Kale

Reviewed: May 30, 2013
pretty dang good! My daughter did NOT like this but both me & my husband did. I halved the lemon juice & red pepper flakes. I let everyone added more if they wanted it. I also used 1/2 cup less of broth. I also added a few sliced shrooms. Served it with quinoa and a baguette.

Chili Rellenos Casserole

If you like quiche, you will love this. This reminds me of more a breakfast dish than dinner. My family did not like it.

Tomato Zucchini Casserole

I used mozzarella & fresh basil based on other reviews. I used a mandolin for even cutting of the zucchini. Awesome recipe!

I love this recipe so does the family. Only change I made was to use half and half rather than heavy cream.

Vegetarian Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2013
Pretty good recipe! Next time for my family's tastes I will reduce the amount of cumin. I used fresh peppers & onions rather than frozen. I also left out the corn and added black beans.

Garlic Prime Rib

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2012
I made this recipe for Christmas Dinner & it was amazing! It was the 1st time I have ever made this kind of roast. I made this with a 6 lb boneless rib roast & followed the advice other reviews to start out at 460 degrees for 12 mins, 400 for 8, then 325 for the rest of the time. A meat thermometer is crucial to get the perfect degree of doneness. I also used cotton twine purchased at a hardware store to tie the roast up. All in all awesome recipe indeed.

Slow Cooker Beef Pot Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2012
Fantastic recipe! I got a 3 pounder instead of 5. I used beef broth & red wine instead of chicken broth. I didn't have fresh herbs so I used dried rosemary. I was out of thyme (heh) so I had to use Italian Seasoning instead. Hubs & daughter loved it. Best pot roast they ever ate. Thanks for the awesome recipe.

Grilled Okra

Reviewed: May 23, 2012
Awesome recipe! I halved it thinking a whole pound would be too much but I wish I would have made more! I brushed on the butter & sprinkled the seasoning on like another reviewer suggested and used the skewer method as well.

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2011
Awesome recipe! I popped a cup of kernels in an air popper. (1/2 cup at a time) I used the method with the roaster and added peanuts. I baked for the full hour with tossing it around every 15 minutes.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2009
this is exactly how I remember the way meatloaf is supposed to taste. I didn't alter anything except the time for cooking. I had to cook it an additional half hour.
